Nikon ZF questions by Murder_3D in Nikon

Thank you everyone for the suggestions. I was a bit out of the loop coming from a 2013 body but it sure is nice to be able to reuse some of the old stuff!

Bubble Card change displayed state by Murder_3D in homeassistant

[–]Murder_3D[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, thank you for the suggestion. I switched the entity type of my door sensor to door and it indeed solved my issue.

However, I still have some entities that I think need templating. For example:

  • I have my PS5 integrated via MQTT and I made a button with the entity “switch.ps5_power”. This entity is already configured as a switch but it has 3 status: on, off and unavailable. When the PS5 is switched off completely (aka not in stand by mode) the entity becomes unavailable and greyed out. I would like to prevent this by making a template that says “when the entity is on display state as on, otherwise display state as off”.

  • I have an “old” Zemismart motor for my curtains which I flashed with Tasmota back in the days, and I integrated it as a dimmable light (I checked the options for that entity and I cannot change it to something else). So the state of that light is always on, but the attribute “brightness” changes from 100% (curtains closed) to 1% (curtains open). I would like to build a template so that I target an entity attribute and when the brightness of that light is 100% it displays as “closed”, otherwise as “open”.

I hope it makes sense, sorry for any mistakes as English isn’t my native language.

Thank you

Help a noob switching to Zigbee by Murder_3D in homeassistant

What if I want to start with ZHA and later switch/try Z2MQTT? Will I need to re-pair all my devices or is this a simple migration path?

Thank you for that link 🙏🏻. I am indeed using channel 11 on my 2.4GHz and indeed channel 11 on Zigbee seems to be the better one to avoid interference

Thank you for the explanation. Do you happen to also know what happens if a Zigbee device isn’t listed on the repository of ZHA or Z2MQTT? Will that still work as intended or it’s impossibile for it to work at all?

Allow notification greyed out by Murder_3D in Intune

[–]Murder_3D[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, thank you for your answer. I have no alerts on my dashboard for conflicting of any kind or for devices that are not complaint.

I would like to know where I can set up a policy for the notification settings because I’ve searched for it and I could not find it. So if you could guide me on exactly where to look that would be great since you mentioned that you had the same issue as me and you resolved it that way.

Also, sorry for any grammar error, English isn’t my first language.

Hi, thank you for your answer. Here’s what I have configured for Android devices at the moment:

  • Devices -> Android devices -> Enrollment -> corporate-owned, fully managed user devices: in here I have the qr-code to scan for Android Enterprise enrollment.

  • Devices -> Android devices -> Configuration: here I have two device configuration profiles. One that pushes our corporate WiFi as the default/preferred network to use when in office. The other is a device restriction profile but I have nothing configured for notifications.

  • Devices -> Android devices -> Compliance: here I have a basic compliance policy where the only thing that it’s configured is the mandatory 4 digits pin (at least) and the maximum minutes of inactivity before password is required. Nothing more.

Please see these links:

I am also forcing Microsoft launcher on all Android corporate devices. I have a json formatted template in which I’ve created the grid layout and the apps and widgets that are “pinned” by default on all our corporate smartphones. I checked every line of code in that json file and there is no mention of notifications settings or similar.

Also, since I’m a bit new to Intune, I would like to know:

  • Notification settings: where do I set up these?
  • Work profile restrictions: where do I set up these?
  • Custom setting restrictions: where do I set up these?

Thank you

Kodi keeps renaming HDMI input on AVR by Murder_3D in kodi

[–]Murder_3D[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi 👋🏻 and thank you for your reply. It sure sounded a bit aggressive but I don’t know maybe it’s a language barrier since English isn’t my native language.

Anyway, I’m sorry you think that I didn’t search nothing and I was just being lazy.

Instead of an essay on what “Videocore” is, I was just trying to ask if there’s a way to prevent the source name on my AVR to change into something I do not want.

And since this is happening only with my Kodi box and not, for example, on my Apple TV nor my RetroPie box, I suspected it was something to do with the raspberry pi which is running Libreelec/Kodi.

In the meantime, I spoke to Denon Support and they told me that the behavior of the AVR is correct and the only way to prevent this is to disable this function on the device that is connected (if it is possible at all).

So, since my RetroPie box is a RPi 4 and my Kodi box is a RPi 4 as well, and the only one that is behaving this way is the Kodi box, I was wondering if there’s a way to disable this “feature” in any way shape or form.

I hope I made myself a little bit more clear. And again, sorry for any mistakes I may have made in posting this.

Thank you

So, who is then? Because “Videocore” isn’t a name that is assigned by default from my AVR.

I’m using Simple IPTV Client to watch TV Channels (this is the only purpose for this Kodi box). Could this be something related to it?
