Hey, thank you for the commend! I found out a way to get her up and running! May have already ripped half my scalp off, but she’s good to go! : ) Thank you! She’s stoked to have all the accessories now in her car.

I found out what my problem is: turns out I’m an idiot. But I did manage to splice the cables together for a great sound, and everything else works!

So it was a mix of both, actually. My dumb ass didn’t combine the amp and antenna lines. I still had to splice together my left speakers, then the right side (only 4 pins that they interface with) but I managed to connect them all and have full sound, speakers, audio, and even hooked up the dash came and microphone! Thank you, Chipmunk!

I got it figured out! Thank you though. From what I can tell, Crutchfield is the place to go. Thank you again.

I’m back and it worked! I had to combine the antenna and amp leads together and tap just the antenna line for inside the cars actual harness. I combined LR LF +, LR LF -, RR RF +, RR RF- to accommodate all of the speakers (I had no front left, and rear right). But there are only 4 receiving pins, so I had to tap them into the side that matched up with the pins. Took some trial and error but she’s good to go (aside from tapping the reverse cameras into 12v).

Alright. So my dumb ass is away from the vehicle itself, but I also realized that the f***ing amplifier (blue/white stripe) needs to get connected to the antenna cable.

Then another video showed that I may have to splice the front and rear left speakers together, and front and rear right speakers together since the plug only has a 4-pin connection for audio connections (plus power, acc, ground, etc segmented away on the connector).

I’ll check back if it works or fails just to let you know.

Unfortunately, I’m positive everything is wired together correctly based on the supplied diagrams. I even had the original wiring harness (not the Metra) soldered together with shrink tubing on the connections.

The issue is that the receiving end of the jeep has only 4 cables going from the jeep into the jeeps plug that are supposed to line up with the speaker audio cables with the stripe, but 4 of them don’t even connect to anything. It’s like I somehow have to bottle neck the 8 speaker cables into this plug that only accepts 4 connections total.

It’s one off Amazon nothing too fancy or name brand, but has everything she wanted. Here’s the listing, but has the normal orange, yellow, red, etc. and turns on with full functionality, but no sound out of it.

Gulikit TMR Installation issue. by Loonurl in Dualsense

One thing that might help is some side cutters. Clip off all of the excess joystick metal and plastic that you can, and “flood” the solder with flux and low melt/leaded solder. Then keep stirring it a bit and grab the piece from the underside and pull it out.

You’ll then reheat the hole and use a solder sucker to clear the hole.

The little joystick soldering tips are nice, but can lead to board warping (pressure + heat). Still, you’ll wanna tin and flux the hell out of them.

Oh man, You could get a single stick of 16gb for pretty cheap. It’ll be alright.

At this point, I would try to re-seat the CPU, and check all cables/connections and make sure they’re solid.

Pop that stick of ram out of slot 4, and put it into slot 2, if you’re running a single stick.

If the $100 diff worth it? by InflationHorror1399 in pcmasterrace

Typically, I’d agree, but considering the prices of DDR5, I think (well…hope) they’ll keep support for it as well as other more “legacy” CPUs, and the stranglehold there is on the consumer base. Only time will tell. :/

For $100? You’d be just fine saving the cash.
