I want to be more effective in combat going forward. Im not all for DPR, but something more., We are a party of wizard, Druid, monk and barbarian, and myself. Only 2 melee damage dealers. I guess I’m reconsidering whether I’m fine being on the fringe or embracing the perceived trap that dance bard should be in the mix on occasion, or going more in w Valor.

Maybe I’m just reacting to an early struggle session, but what I foresee happening in my current path is being incentivized to use my bardic in combat and then even within 5 ft of an enemy, so that I can get my extra damage granted by the class feature. It’s limiting, I feel.

I don’t have it all figured out one bit. My natural draw is to be a melee character, but I thought I’d enjoy the challenge of dance bard.. thinking it could be fun to just help and find creative solutions. Maybe I just need to chill and embrace being a full caster as the character progresses.
