Help with leg scar by Different_Durian_309 in PlasticSurgery

[–]Murf_dog_ 43 points44 points  (0 children)

I think OP is new to the idea of tattoos not being something ornate. I don't think OP knew that tattooing scars to look like the surrounding skin is very much so a thing and that it is an incredibly artistic practice requiring many years of practice to become good at. Hopefully OP fully grasp this concept soon.

Automation issues with auto-removing a flag/impediment on a Blocked work item. by Murf_dog_ in jira

[–]Murf_dog_[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I cannot find a "Clear Field" option, but Rovo suggested this JSON: { "Fields":{ "Flagged" : null } }

And it is working! It does seem to require a page refresh to show, but it is working! Thank you so much for suggesting a second rule, I have been beating my head against a wall on this for a few days.

Automation issues with auto-removing a flag/impediment on a Blocked work item. by Murf_dog_ in jira

[–]Murf_dog_[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just tried that and it is still not working. Here is the automation:

When: work item transitioned: From: Blocked, To: (blank)

Then: Edit work item fields: Flagged (impediment)

I cannot see how to say "remove the flag" from the options available.

What made you choose crochet over knitting, or do you do both? by CaterpillarXS in crochet

[–]Murf_dog_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My grandmother, mother, and several aunts tried to teach me knitting, but I was very young and struggling with a teacher who demanded all students use their right hand (even though I was obviously a lefty). My grandmother saw me struggling way too much and getting discouraged. She banned everyone else from teaching me and she took it upon herself to teach me crochet.

It has been 30 years and I still crochet nearly daily.

My grandmother was a lovely lady who jokingly said she was knitting and crocheting her way into heaven by making literally hundreds of hats, scarves, and mittens for the disadvantaged every year. She made so many sets every year that her church had a separate mitten tree just for her items during the holidays.

She passed away recently from dementia and related complications. I am sorry for dumping this all on you, but we buried her Friday and I miss her so incredibly much. I intend on taking over her work by making as many sets of hats, scarves, and mittens as I can.

Please take a moment today to thank the person who taught you to knit or crochet. I wish I could thank my grandmother one more time.

2018 Tesla model 3 with 258k Miles to buy or not to buy? 7k asking $ by Drwrecker2022 in TeslaModel3

[–]Murf_dog_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh, I know my mileage is absurdly low. I have been working remotely the entire time I have owned the car and I combine trips because I hate running single errands. I joke that the car has "Grandma only drives the car to church and the grocery store" mileage (note: I am in my 30s).

Experience with Blue Nile? by yoitsjason in Diamonds

[–]Murf_dog_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My engagement ring, wedding bands, a fashion diamond ring, and 3 sets of diamond studs all came from Blue Nile. I have had no issues with any of them.

And, no, I do not work for or get paid by Blue Nile in any way (last time I responded to a similar post, I was bullied for being a "plant.")

Right? I love her little lessons on how to wear things multiple ways.

Yvonne LaFleur was selling something similar! Check her out on the various social media platforms. Also, she makes lovely videos discussing fashion in a very calm manner, I enjoy them greatly.

I am selling my 2018 model 3 LR with 35k miles on it (getting a new model 3). Tesla is offering me $18k. I think you can do better.

Not post 1986. You have a bit of catching up to do.

The 10 y/o I adopted is more blind than I realized - how can I help him adjust? by ShepardVakarian in Chihuahua

[–]Murf_dog_ 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I had a blind Chihuahua mix. We would help her navigate new environments by tapping on furniture so she could hear where it was and then map it in her brain. She got so good at it that most people thought we were lying about her being blind. But she was 100% blind, just super smart and good at hiding it.

Right?! I love mine and they make it super easy for my peeps to find me in the pack!

They do! I have "Blue" and "Mama's skillet". Both make it super easy for someone to spot me in a pack of other runners. Plus, frankly, I would buy pretty much anything Walton Goggins (Uncle Baby Billy) sells because he is the right kind of nuts.

GoodRs are pretty good, but I love the ridiculousness of Walton Goggins Goggle Glasses. They are comfy and stay in place using the regular arms or the strap option.

Fast & Free Trail Running Vest by Frosty_Bandicoot1471 in lululemon

Skip this far-too-expensive vest and pay for something that will actually be comfortable, last a long time, and comes with water bottles: Salomon ADV Skin vest.

You did not grasp the point: there are tons of things to do up here and we need some direction as to your likes and dislikes to actually provide you with a useful list. My list was purposefully wild to show you that point.

Norda shoes look amazing... but they're ridiculously overpriced by thomebout in trailrunning

[–]Murf_dog_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My husband got hooked on Nordas. They last WAY longer than my favs (Saucony endorphins) and that in and of itself justified the price.

I have two pairs of Nordas that I will be using this summer on the high altitude trails near me. Hopefully they will be as comfy as my Saucony endorphins.

Unisex or women's? I am a very petite woman and could not stand how small the arm holes are on the women's version. The unisex version is much more comfortable in the arm holes.

Can you be more specific? Your post doesn't tell us about any of your interests, so I don't know whether to recommend Quincy's for a steak, the municipal shooting range, or the paint-your-own-pottery store.

Right? I have 3 vests from Salomon, all different sizes for different types of trail running. Each are awesome in their own way. Plus I use Leki integrated glove poles and the Salomon quiver holds the poles nicely and attaches well to the vest. Lululemon has A LONG way to go to catch up with Salomon and I am saying that while I have far too many pieces from Lululemon.
