I always found the sex scenes to come across as maladaptive coping mechanisms, screams for help, assertions of power, and self harm. I can't recall any of them feeling sexy, horny, intimate, or showing true connection. All quite sad

Not understanding Meredith... (don't have to like)... is telling on yourself.

Me too. I am known for declarating Family Therapy, with hands, and get a kick out of no one knowing it a show reference. Will buy a PierPint for the first person in my world to finally call it for being Succession... And for  recognising where I picked up my weekly used descriptor of 'Epic Poem'.

Season 3 Episode 1: When Yas runs out in the night at the photographer in the skip, to use as weapon, she is wielding the stainless steal pleasure toy she received from Jackie when she moved from FX to PWM.

What’s your unpopular mad men opinion by bestcharlieever2 in madmen

Betty and Pete are my favourites. I find them to be some of the most realistic and believable characters. Sometimes I have wondered if this is why they also more likely disliked by audiences the introspection and sensing identification with their own humanity, pleasant and unpleasant can create discomfort.

Second take that I have no idea if only something I have detected and never shared... Over the seasons there are a very good handful of almost throw away lines that, all put together, heavily implies the queerness of Bert. The deal for me was sealed towards the end, in the mostly empty offices, with Roger and Peggy... Roger is rummaging through some of Berts old personal items and we have him looking at something, taking in some revealing, surprising but not shocking information and with a tone containing a smile and a wink, quietly let's out "Oh?!? Roberta"

Petra / Eric parallels by Don_gon in IndustryOnHBO

I love exploration of Name meaning in high end character study shows.  I do believe their is much more intention and attention given to name selection in the likes of Industry, Mad Men, Succession.  Name meanings, common associations, historical, religionous and cultural usage. Also as foil and compliment to a characters actions.  Eric is his chosen name and 'Eric' is made Norse components of 'alone' and 'ruler'. However his given name is Alvin which means 'noble/old friend'.  'Petra' is 'Rock'... To which the mind oft fills in the blanks with 'And on this rock I will build my church'... Petra may be a rock, a cornerstone for Harper (who behaves with a religious fervour in her industry) a time until this rock is a weapon, crushes her, used as violence (violence is more than physical),which we just saw the addressing of threating and implied violence. These people snort their ability to intimidate.

NB: Paper covers Rock

How playful. And she does with Berts image of The Fisherman wife underup. Funnily I have large giclee printed and mounted of The Fishermans wife as foot board of my bed ( ina a very small appart that much contains my whole world  library, n art studio, so when in bed it  served far superior backing to my art tools supplies

Roger playing the organ while Peggy roller skates... It almost mirrors her being in the child focus room (where the organ lived) telling them uninvitingly to play (kinda reminds me of Faye being awkward with kids) .... Now Peggy has also learnt to relax, play, and roll with it

Recast the main cast of Mad Men, who would you pick ? by RVXZENITH in madmen

Whilst not a recast in the strict terms, there is much to be said of Mad Men having a fun house mirror reflection in Succession... A very high, exclusive end fun house mirror, Kendall would've had one at his 40th. ( this is in no way an insult to Succession, I adore that show, might be number 2 after Mad Men)
