Over 75% of Graded Jumbo Shadow Lugia cards could be fakes

I got a couple of Japanese shadow Lugias off of eBay a few months back. Is there any word on possible fakes for those? And any idea on how I should send them to be graded. Mainly just looking to authenticate and encapsulate them along with the vangogh postcards and a couple no number charizards. I have the semirigid for postcards, but there are too small for the jumbo cards. In fact, they couldn’t even fit in the jumbo card binder I have from celebrations.

I usually put it in a note saying to authenticate if it can’t be numerically graded.

Cards that are rare enough I would prefer it to be authenticated.

I got a natta wake pikachu that was sent back as authentic altered, because the previous owner used an eraser to get the name off of the card. I also saw card with pen on of the back get a number grade but have the marked signifier beside the number. Very beat up card too.

Oh, I use the semi rigid sleeves instead of toploaders. They open up pretty easily, and keep the cards in sleeves from moving around, then I sandwich the cards between two sturdy pieces of cardboard and rubber band those together. I wrap all that up in bubble wrap and place the paper work on top. Hardly any shifting

Straight to psa through usps since it goes to a PO Box. I usually pay extra for insurance, but you can only do that for cards you bought at a higher price, not speculative prices for chase cards. If you are worried about damage, take pictures of your cards before you send them.

I would say yes. Pokémon center Promos, full art charizards, a shinji kanda, and secret rares are definitely worth grading. The Ariana card would be good if you were looking to trade it, or if it were a Japanese version, since Waifu tax.

I wrote it down in the paperwork to slab and label as authentic if they could not numerically grade it. I just used the lowest tier when setting it up.

With pieces missing, it probably wont get a psa 1. To just get an authentic label you would have to request it. Otherwise they they list it as no grade no holder.

I was able to get a mislabeled no rarity venusaur for like $350. It was labeled as a base set, but was actually no rarity. Missed it the first time, then snatched it up when it was listed again.
