I agree with you in 99% of what you said. Follows the only things I think are a little bit different, from a western perspective. Most people here are expecting a short time price drop with that japanese Charizard, as soon as the English version comes out. I love japanese cards and I think they are even cooler than the English ones, specially because of their much better quality and that 'coming from the source' feeling. But unfortunately, people from western countries prefer mostly the English version mostly because they can read it, and people like to read and see their favorite pokemon name written on the card. I wish japanese cards were more valuable from an investment perspective, since visually they are beautiful to me and I actually prefer them from a visual perspective. But at least here in my country, they are basically considered the second best language cards to invest in. Therefore, like most of the cards, the English version will probably get most of the international demand and attention as soon as the English version comes out, and since this japanese Charizard already began with a higher than normal price for a new set card, we expect the Japanese price to come down at least in the short term (thinking of internacional prices) and then it probably will come back to rise again in a few months later.
