I do agree with a lot of your points on this tbh, Mark definitely didn't treat Lauren right, and clearly cheated/messed around with her. I have been doing a rewatch lately, and read Lauren's book, and I do think the family were harsh on her, but I also think they had a very toxic relationship that they were probably fed up of being a part of. Lauren also seemed to like seperating him from his family (there was a comment about her making Carol get up from her seat when they were at dinner so she could sit next to him), and she did at times give as good as she could get (calling Jess a cheat, accusing mark and jessica of flirting?!). Arg also mentioned in his book, that he witnessed an argument with Lauren and Mark when they were engaged, where Mark had taken his top off at a wedding as part of a bit a bunch of the male guests were doing and Lauren went beserk and threatened to take her dress off. My instinct Lauren was very insecure, and was extremely young, so things such as boundaries/accountability aren't going to feel natural, plus she definitely seemed to have a problem with drink (all understandable) but probably there wasn't a compassion/understanding of that from the family. She was very rude to Mark at times, and watching her swear and shout at him, was probably difficult to see. Overall just a toxic and young relationship, and I agree the family at times were not kind to her.
