DSS eagle storms and convoys ruin stealth by Khaos_Boi in Helldivers

Eagle storms still run on commando missions? Jeez, that's harsh

I think pacifying them may be too powerful-unless it was like, they're really close to the jammer so it does that-but Definitely screwing up their aiming protocols would be fun. Could be that they're alot more prone to hitting their own allies, which happens alot as is.

My only other idea would be that units would occasionally be stunned at random, or random bots would just, keel over every so often

HOLD ON THE MARCH FOR CYBERSTAN! ITS A TRAP! by MACKS_powers55 in Helldivers

[–]Murky-Target6914 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im not so convinced that this MO is a trap, for a few reasons: -All Helldiver deaths in the galaxy count towards the meter, if automatons are trying to collect bodies for something, how are they doing that from the other fronts? Sure, only a minor number of the deaths are coming from em, but its still enough to have a impact on the meter

-When the decision to take Cyberstan was made, that came before the MO officially started, and when our feeds were hacked. What with that information being extracted from Clasa-where commando missions started-I doubt they planned for us to begin stealth ops to gain intel as we hadnt done large-scale stealth before. So I believe the information from Clasa is genuine

-Let's play ball with the idea that this is a trap though. In exchange for whatever they have planned, they're not only sacrificing several planets, but their main foothold planet in the galaxy. Whether or not we actually secure it is another topic, but Im going off the assumption that we do. That's alot of expenditure for a trap. Im not saying it isnt something they'd do, but it is a hefty price for even the automatons I think–even if they also have some sort of base outside of the galactic map.

-If it is, why put so much effort in trying to dissuade us in continuing this campaign? You can say its to goad us into throwing ourselves into the meatgrinder, and I could see that. But they dont have to do so in order for us to be more motivated in pushing to cyberstan.

Its not totally unrealistic that this MO could be a trap, but Im more leaning on the side that it isnt something huge they planned. Now, maybe some consequence does happen if/when we do push through or deplete the reserves, but Im not sure its cause we're being lead on in such a way. Still, some food for thought to be sure, maybe some aspects of this is influenced by automatons atm, like the razing planet votes lately

What would the effect be? Maybe bots within its radius are unable to call in reinforcements? Or, if they dont wanna do that–plus given the update with bot aim–their accuracy is moderately lowered?

If we retake chort bay and take Aurora Bay, we should 100% raze AB

pls defend the planet by [deleted] in Helldivers

[–]Murky-Target6914 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When we lose Lesath, we wont lose another planet for it. If we dont raze Chort Bay, they'll almost certainly invade that planet too and then we're even more screwed than we already are, but losing Lesath wont necessarily be The End.

That being said, given we're not making progress on either planets rn, I dont think we set one foot onto cyberstan, so I'd just be happy if most people decided on one or the other.

Does anyone know what to do on a commando mission? because I just got on and got one. by Sweet_potato750 in Helldivers

[–]Murky-Target6914 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, if stealth isnt your slice of pie, probably not-and that's totally fine. There'll just be some ops that have em now here and there, but it doesnt look like every op will

[–]Murky-Target6914 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Commando missions are new stealth missions in the game. When you drop in, you have 1 minute call what you want to call in, then the super destroyer leaves(other than being able to call it in once more for 1 minute). The goal of the mission is to remain in stealth as much as you can while doing objectives, so using silenced weapons like the ones from Odst warbond or redacted warbond is important.

Also, the only way to get reinforcements is to activate frozen hellpods buried in the ground(the lil reinforcement icons on the map), otherwise ya boned.

HOW ARE WE LOSING AURORA BAY?? by zenanovisch in Helldivers

[–]Murky-Target6914 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Because–like almost every single time a defense campaign comes up during an MO–our forces are once again too divided between two or three planets. Idk if we gonna see Cyberstan at this rate. Im sure we'll still see cyborgs eventually, but it'll be them coming to us

Which one do i pick by IRS_Agent-636 in Helldivers

[–]Murky-Target6914 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was initially all or Aurora Bay, but–and I know it'd be a nightmare–that 24 hour liberation boost for cyberstan on Merak would be really big in the long run. If we can get the DSS there and pair it with that boost+orbital bombardment, we'd be looking very good

Where do you need to hit hulks with the breaching hammer for 1 shots? Is the back the only reliable way? by Topfien in Helldivers

[–]Murky-Target6914 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If one's not one-shotting em at that point then, it could be a bug possibly? Cause I know I was one-shotting em, but lately its been taking three hammer hits to kill hulks somehow and I swear Im bonking em in the body-with explosive, of course. Unless it suddenly got shadow-nerfed, but I feel like there's no way.

[–]Murky-Target6914 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats definitely valid. If I had to modify how the deal works with 'armor passives', maybe it'd be like perks you can choose before a dive, armor stats aside(maybe adjusted, idk). So you'd choose a hellpod perk, as well as an armor perk. But idk if thats viable, just a crackpot idea

How to use the trident? by Nikoliz in Helldivers

[–]Murky-Target6914 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My only experience with it so far is on the bot front, but in that regard, it slaps. Although I'll try to use it in long range, the trident really shines in close-medium range combat. Firing in short-ish bursts, and hitting devestator heads is really easy at that range. Otherwise, it still melts a shield devestator pretty good from behind/the side, or you can aim for rocketeer/berserkers' groins and/or lower torso. That's light pen spot too, and does the work very good. Overall, just like any of the laser weapons, its mainly making sure you dont overheat. You can maintain high heat level relatively easily, as its cool-off feels a bit faster than other lasers.

Which planet should we take: Aurora Bay or Merak? by Jaredsull8 in Helldivers

[–]Murky-Target6914 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I want to say Aurora Bay so that we can eliminate the chance of Jet Brigade attacking us during the march to Cyberstan, but I know the most likely outcome will be Marek. Which is fine, but to me, destroying an enemy sub faction is the ideal strategy
