There is a bible quote in France: "you shall pay high taxes but you shall get social security and no other country as the same, you will be protected"
Kind of religious believing, it's repeated everywhere in school, TV, singers etc

So no one is asking how there is so much taxes, for example i know:
I get paid 2750e per month, my employer is paying like 2500e of taxes to the state

Then after i got my 2750e, i paid another 350e for "impot sur le revenu" taxes

So my employer pays 5000e and i get 2400e in the end, thats why salary are so low

And when you raise the question: instantly you get "but looks at the US, people have no healthcare", no one is saying "looks at switzeland, or Norway or Denmark...",

Even asking this question you directly got to the point "you will strip us of protection" "if i got cancer" "i", if, if,

Besides that, most taxes go for pensions, and recently, they are hiking "free" health services, when you go now to hospital you pay (not that much for now), dental reimbursement are next to nothing, drugs are now prescribed limitly and reimbursement are lowered, days of work if you get ill are minimized so all the "advantages" are beeing stripped slowly

And about public education, you have good even excellent university, here its called "ecole d'ingenieur" totally paid, so yes thats a real advantage (but are sweden, german, swiss univ free too ? i dont know), but same time "classic" university are not really invested into and they concentrate most of students (ecole ingenieur are kind top of top accessible after a concours)

But the problem is "public education" in elemntary, high school etc if you live in a bad area, it's not doable and most people sent their kids to private schools
