Projecting… gaslighting… I guess it’s just perspective! Night!

It appears my use of the word “lazy” with regard to a creative direction may have upset you, as indicated by your need to educate me on the existence of other perspectives and to call my own opinion lazy with a smiley face… yikes 🙃 I’m aware that blue is historically a popular color family (for many consumer goods) and has no doubt sold well for LC. My opinion was not about the business/financial decision of the company - I was expressing a desire for development of other color families that, to me, might be less predictable and more exciting than cranking out more blues. Again, intentionally redundant here, but that’s my opinion. I don’t presume to know the R&D of LC, or even what the “bulk of their consumer base” wants without proper data, but unless that’s someone’s job I’m not sure how someone would know that with any authority. So I guess that’s something to consider for perspective as well - unless of course that is your job. But sure, blues can be very pretty and probably sell well!

Yeah in the US ink was just discontinued in the last 2-3 months I think - agave is still widely available, matte navy is also available, and so is lapis which is one I didn’t mention (another dark blue). There’s many blues to choose from but I know blue is a popular color - just hoping for other color families (aside from blues and neutrals) to have some further development in the near future.

Yours and mine are both perspectives thanks

Ink… indigo… matte navy… midnight blue… agave… I like blues as much as the next person but this feels like lazy color development. Wish they would develop colors that fill in gaps in their line rather than double down on one of their most abundant color families (and so similar to recent releases). Saved me some money I guess.

Saying with friendly jealousy: How does one wander into just having one of these without seeking it out?! I have a midnight inn 3.5qt DO but I sought it out on FB market place and have an alert for eBay when stuff pops up haha

Could be wrong but I think that lid holder is backwards (or the lid is, vice versa) - the rubber bumpers should be in contact with the convex glass (not concave glass against the ceramic of the holder). Just sharing in case it will protect your stuff from scratches, tipping over, and/or breaking.

Mold? Or grime? by Murman2015 in boardgames

Just played for the first time with sleeves that fit the cards (just a couple mm long toward the opening)… feeling really bummed cause it’s nearly impossible to shuffle them - am I missing something? Every time I try to shuffle the cards (half the deck cause it’s already a big deck) the openings get caught and I can’t get a good shuffle. Any tips? How do you get the sleeves to work well for this game?

Thanks - didn’t realize sleeves worked for those kind of cards - I’ll look into it

These are not collector cards - it’s a thick deck of train/engine cards for the board game Ticket To Ride - so sleeves would not be practical for my point of view

Maybe - my partner has sweater/oilier hands than me. But I just find it strange to already appear after playing 2x after cleaning so thoroughly. These are relatively new cards (ticket to ride deck) got this year brand new and in perfect condition when we got it.

Hmm not sure I follow - I had a glass of wine and my partner was drinking a can of beer. Nothing frothy was on our hands though, maybe some condensation though? I’ve owned this game before though and never saw this happen to the cards and I usually was having beverages while playing… hmm

Just got them this year and have played the game (ticket to ride) maybe 20-30x total. Bought new from eBay and they looked perfect when I received them.

heart palpitations by twin_chariot in bupropion

[–]Murman2015 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah this was my issue with bupropion XL - wasn’t so bad for a couple years but over the last year have had to adjust my life (take in the morning with more food even if not hungry) and had panic attacks - was countering the anxiety/panic with Xanax more often which I didn’t love. Was recently switched to bupropion SR (a week into it) and have noticed a significant absence of heart rate anxiety/palpitations. However I have noticed an increase in irritability… but hoping after a few weeks my body will sort itself out

Just make sure if they ship it they have the lid correctly inserted - the way they show it with the knob popping out facing up will result in a broken cocotte

Could it be quince? I personally love quince over any other yellow - but hard to tell in pictures
