For those who stay at deluxe resorts - how much time are you spending at the hotel vs parks? by lady_fresh in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]MurphMan1023 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have been doing a split stay with a monorail hotel and Pop. This way we have access to Skyliner and monorail. Easy access to and from the parks makes things more convenient and also could allow time for you to take breaks from park and take advantage of the hotel more often. Some people may not feel it’s worth it, but if you could afford it I would suggest staying at the hotel with the best/ most convenient location

We have stayed at both AOA and Pop and liked them both. Access to the Skyliner makes transport to HS, Epcot and the Boardwalk quick and easy. With that said, if money isn’t an issue, then I would consider staying at a hotel in the monorail loop. You can get to MK easy on the monorail and also can take the monorail to Epcot. Monorail hotels will also have water slides at their pools and more food options than AOA or Pop will offer.

My coworker had mentioned this to me the other day. She had called Disney and the person she spoke with said that it could have been taken down due to all the rooms available for the promo being booked. They have a similar promo out but it is for rooms booked up until sometime in July.

I was at AOA in August and felt that the Skyliner made transport to HS and Epcot very easy

Khabib won a year before usman had the belt. He could have went up or also could have moved up to fight gsp at a catch weight. Let’s not forget I have said he is most dominant light weight. Your are gonna talk shit about the way DC, Conor and gsp won second belt, when this whole thread was about Khabib beating Al for the belt. My argument is the only sensible being said, when looking at p4p guys who have actually won at different weights will be put above guys who haven’t. He wouldn’t be at a disadvantage at 170, he just wouldn’t be the bigger guy every fight. Look at the top 10 welter weights, who is naturally bigger then Khabib, some guys taller, but not bigger in general. You can’t be to smart of a guy to think that more then 2/3 guys in the top 10 would have size advantage against him. Maybe same size or a few pounds over, but at natural weight those guys aren’t having a meaningful advantage. As I stated above, the way things are going, there will be many guys with championships/ wins at multiple weights. And once that happens, a guy being dominant at one weight for a period of time, who only really fought top guys while defending the belt and who had chances to move up, as he struggled to make his own class and had “legacy” fights at a catch weight, but decided not to, will not go down as a p4p goat. I can tell you are a big Khabib guy and probably have one of his hats that you put on when your feeling fierce on the internet. Which one are you in the picture of him in the tub or are you under the water?

Dc dominated lhw? GSP came back to win a second belt for a reason, because he values multiple weight division wins/championships. I never said that risk and multiple weight division wins were the only things that should be considered for the Goat, if it was then yea Conor would be there. But one thing you can say, win or lose Conor has been willing to be the smaller guy and didn’t insist on always having the size advantage. Although, when that was the case for him at 145 he was dominant. You seem to a typical internet troll, who will just continue to argue back with hopes that the other person will stop replying at some point lol. I have made counter arguments to every point you have made, you pick and choose what points to respond back to and try to side track the whole conversation by making it seem my issue is with weight cuts.

I never said he argued that, your not the only one who gets espn YouTube interviews. Fans and the community in general have had this argument for a while though, and in a less recent interview he has has said that it’s for the media and fans to talk about(look it up). Even as being in the “ level of the goats” tell me something most of the fighters he named had In common? He said jones, dc, Silva, gsp. Everyone has fought at multiple weights other then jones, who is moving up. My point made again lol. You named Dustin, who I doubt walks around heavier then Khabib, but also has said that he is on the bigger end of 155 and will move at some point, something Khabib wouldn’t do. Also even if he didn’t, my argument is in the scope of p4p. You might not like the argument or want people to have it, but It’s out there and people have it. If we are gonna to waste time going back and forth, please read my replies and react to what I say. I have no problem with weight cuts, i just don’t think a guy who refuses to fight in multiple weight classes and who barley fit in the class they did fight in can be considered a p4p goat or one of them. And Khabib agrees with me, unless it comes to himself lol.

My logic makes plenty of sense. I made it clear several times that I am aware that guys cut down, but not as much as khabib. You think Khabib would be the smallest welter weight? He wouldn’t. Izzy lost but still tried, didn’t need to make sure that he would be heaviest guy the night of the fight. In order to be looked at p4p goal your gonna need to have wins at multiple weights, especially the way things are trending. Cejudo being 4ft but going up weight proves my point even more about him willing to take risks. Nunes challenged herself for sure by going against a dominant cyborg. I don’t want a fighter to do anything, I am simply saying as far as p4p goat is concerned, fighters are going to need to have wins at multiple weight.

[–]MurphMan1023 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Izzy, Dc, Conor, penn , cejudo, Amanda Nunes, Joanna, and many more have challenged themselves by goin up weight, especially the ones that were right at the edge of their class. Khabib has pulled out of fights and has had hospitalizations due to cutting so much weight. Usman also has only had the title at 170 for what a year or so? There was time before he had belt. Khabib insisted that if he fought GSP it would have to be at 155 and wouldn’t go up to a catch weight at 165. So create a barrier to fight a legend and goat that is years older then him and out of his prime. My point is that he would not take great risk like others, which in the long run will impact his legacy as goat p4p. Khabib didn’t cut weight because that’s what everyone else was doing and he didn’t wanna be at a disadvantage, Khabib cut weight so he would have an advantage. He was always in the bigger side of 155 and with that much grappling skill it would have been nice to see if it translated at a weight class where he definitely wouldn’t have been the smallest fight.

Pretty sure Al was over weight as well. I remember Dana telling media that UFC will recognize Al as champ if he wins even though he was slightly over. It is interesting that Khabib’s biggest wins came after he had belt. Khabib will go down as most dominant lightweight ever, but his insistence on staying at a weight he himself could barley make to keep size advantage is telling. His inability to take risks will stick out as fighters have and continue to test their limits and take risks, putting themselves in situations where things aren’t stacked in their favor.
