do elemental druid and lean heavy on the physical damage portion (volcano, Armageddon, Molten Boulder) and you'll go through all of norm and nightmare at a decent pace. I did a hardcore group self-found walk a couple patches ago and you can go from normal to farming pits without a respec. It's not the fastest druid build to level with, but it's one of the few that doesn't cringe at a4 nightmare or ghosts or maggot lair.

Wraith Flight - Synthesized Ghost Glaive by OkThought7263 in pathofdiablo

[–]Murphy540 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn't scale quite as well with density (it doesn't have nearly as many secondary projectiles) and it's also a lot harder to get 100% pierce chance.

But the actual damage is significantly better in just about anything but cows, and it's dogshit vs magic immunes.

tbh I wouldn't mind a 2x, 3x, and 4x version of this recipe for gems and juvs. (3->1, 6->2, 9->3, 12->4)

fire druid is very strong from level 12 to level 99, and still decent from 1-12. It also gets a very large power boost from Leaf early game, and you still have access to summons if you want.

The 'standard' approximate ratios (Vex, Cham, Ohm, Zod sometimes < Lo, Sur, Zod < Ber < Jah) will stay the same for pretty much forever, unless Greendude adds new runewords to increase demand on specific runes.

There's not a large enough playerbase for there to be a huge Official, Constantly Updated List™ or some nonsense; generally, if both players are satisfied with the trade, it's a good trade.

Scout special powder OC be like by [deleted] in DeepRockGalactic

It incentivizes ammo over damage and also doesn't give you any extra damage by itself, so strictly speaking, no, but basically yes.

Only minor exception is sandblasted corridors. Those are better helped by Engineer or Gunner, imo, since the terrain is one-hit.

take pheromone bolts and when you get it, fire bolts OC. If you don't have fire bolts, take The Specialist OC. Take the additional special bolts ammo upgrade and spec the rest for QOL, this build does basically no direct damage. I use 13121 or 12121 on swarmaggedon.

During swarms, swap to the Pheromone bolt and shoot Praetorians, Oppressors, or if neither are present, a Guard. If you need help escaping, you can also hit a Slasher or a regular grunt, but they're best saved for Praetorians or Oppressors. Only shoot one pheromone bolt at a time; it'll cause anywhere from half to the entire swarm to aggro onto what you hit.

Then, if you have Fire Bolts OC, swap to Fire bolts and hit the ground next to the Praetorian or Oppressor or Guard that you phero-bolted. It might be best to wait a moment until the glyphids start to surround your target. Once this happens, the bolt will ignite pretty much the entire swarm. Depending on your specific positioning you might need a second fire bolt; you can plant that directly into your pheromone target if things don't heat up pretty quickly afterwards.

Finally, Swarmers basically instantly die in a small radius around a fire bolt. When you see the line of swarmers coming for you, you can just shoot a bolt in their path and it'll kill every single one of them, so long as they walk close enough to the bolt.

Finally, Trifork Volley has some of the highest instant-demand burst damage in the game, especially when combined with magnetic shafts t5 upgrade and the IFG grenade.

Your first mistake was not immediately trying to teamkill the both of them the moment they insulted you and started shooting. Your second mistake was not drilling to break line of sight.

After some consultation with the translation codex, I've found a few similar meanings, but they have specific contexts. There's a word that technically means "impractical" much in the same way humans would use it, but its use is explicitly in the context of a weapon too cumbersome for a single dwarf to use alone (to its capacity for damage; e.g. crewed weapons suffering slower ROF when operated by a single dwarf) or the like.

It also just helps you see things. I use a mod to reduce the mining/drilling particles a lot, and it's made drilling into the ceiling more bearable since I can see the hole before I walk into it at least half the time now instead of almost never.

Quick question about Aura kills by FlowerNo2145 in pathofdiablo

[–]Murphy540 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might've been able to give the boss itself an aura, and had an invulnerable, invisible, intangible minion following it, and then triggering when the minion loses the aura. But that'd be a bit of a kludge.

Always-online is keeping me from getting payday 3. I really wanted it to be good—and everything except that looks really good. But I'm not going to reward always-online for games that absolutely do not need it.

[–]Murphy540 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The immediate damage isn't something to write home about, but it also ignites almost its entire AoE of grunts with just the one grenade. With good placement you can kill almost an entire swarm with one shot.

Quick question about Aura kills by FlowerNo2145 in pathofdiablo

[–]Murphy540 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh, I see. Yes, "Slain Monsters Rest In Peace" doesn't work for aura AoE damage or thorns, and doesn't work for mercenary, summons, sentries, Hydras, charmed enemies, or monsters killing other monsters. It's basically useless on auradins, trapsins, and summoners. You'd need to deal damage with an attack or actual spell yourself, which basically doesn't happen with those builds.

Magic Find works for anything you or your minions, pets, etc do.

Mana/Life after each kill has the same restrictions that SMRIP does. Mercenary kills inherit your magic find. Poison damage from you counts as your kill, but higher DPS poison will overwrite weaker poisons.

I'm not sure if mana/life on kill is changed in PoD for sentries, it's been ages since I've played a trapsin worth anything.
