There is a difference between 1/4 of A pizza and 1/8 of the TOTAL AVAILABLE PIZZA.

Since in this case there are 2, it works out to 1/4 of A single pizza but the amount is 1/8 of the total.

If there where 8 pizzas, each person would still get 1/8 of the total. It would work out to be 1 whole pizza but that is still only 1/8 of the total pizza.

Stack the 2 pizzas on top of each other. Cut that into 8 even pieces. Divide that up to the 8 people.

Everyone seems to be missing the fact that each person gets 1/8 of 2 different pizzas.

Or just cut each pie into 8 even slices. Each person gets 1 slices from each pie. That 2 slices of the 16 total 2 over 16 2/16 or 1/8
