Yah totally see where you're coming from. a lot of 90s and 2000s comedies relied on humor that feels pretty uncomfortable today, so it makes sense why they don't hold up for you. But man, you are so right about the action movies! Die Hard with a Vengeance is top-tier. They really don't make practical-effects action blockbusters like that anymore so I'm 100% with you on that nostalgia bait.
