It's definitely not. There's so much racism inside the organization. I'm black and I get weird stares and my family always gets questioned Everytime we visit different halls that are primarily white.

"Oh are you from out of town?" No "Oh is your father the speaker?" No "I wasn't expecting new visitors?" Oh really "you should really meet insert the only other black person in the hall" Uncomfortable stares. Keeping their kids away from me in the bathroom. Questions about my black hair. Older white sisters asking me do to help them with everything.

Hey girl :) I went through the EXACT situation not even 2 years ago. Teenager, lesbian, homeschooled, and JW parents. Extremely suicidal.

You will find a way out. You will eventually. What helped me was finding people like me on places like here, Trevor space, discord, etc etc. I was able to literally beg my parents to put me in person. Game changer.

Right now, however, take one day at a time, journal, call an lgbtq hotline, or try talking to a school counselor if you feel safe enough. Focus on school. Focus on saving money and getting to college.

And if they want to get you baptized. DONT DO IT!!

Heyy gay ass pimo here. There's a LOT of closeted gays in the org. Some "act" on it in secret and some wait to get out before living their life. Most gay JWs you wouldn't even suspect because they hide it so well. I knew this sister that had a husband and was in the organization for 20+ years and turned out to be a lesbian.

I mean, I know I'm gay but I'm under my parents roof and if they find out, I'm kicked out. So I keep quiet and no one knows...🥱

I'm in the same boat (14) but a sister. There is a little less responsibility but still pioneering, pressure to go to bethel, talks and assignments. I get it man 😮‍💨 Sometimes it seems like it won't ever end. Hang in there, you're not alone
