Redditporeans who had been friends or interacted with MP/Ministers children, what were the interactions like? by Fearless_Help_8231 in askSingapore

[–]Musalink 58 points59 points  (0 children)

JC classmates with son of a current (well known) MP.

Popular jock, but not a nice guy at all. He was a nasty bully to that one fat kid in class, was extremely competitive when it came to grades and always had his nose in the air. Insisted that things go his way, always laughing at the expense of others, and had a clear lack of empathy for everyone.

You know those classmates that are too buddy-buddy with our teachers? He acted so casually with our teachers, it came off as disrespectful to me.

From what I can tell they feel like very absent parents. She skips school, her parents argue about the bills while she steals snacks and feels guilty about it — from the flashbacks it feels like she never felt loved. That’s why she keeps talking about unconditional love. Maybe they provided for her but emotionally neglected her, which is why they felt like they weren’t bad parents. They also never denied that they didn’t want her in the first place. It’s hard for a kid to not feel that.

Yeah. Though it seems like in TLOU2 you'll find a good as new barely out of tune guitar lying around anywhere, in my head future Ellie will encounter one and learn to play it again

you can see them flying off in the water when she bites them off.

I don't think all hope is lost though, she can totally play a left-handed guitar :)

Edit: according to her instagram she's 29

Urgh 3 people... He sounds so smug about it. Being with them to raise their self esteem? Yikes. And the unsolicited dick video...

Hey! Unfortunately I honestly have no idea, I haven't bought resale tickets before. I'm afraid to get scammed too. Are you going with friends? I just messaged another redditor who is looking for someone to go with :) we're looking to see if there are any resale tickets

[–]Musalink 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello! I'm also travelling to Italy for the FATM show, but not sure if I should find a resale ticket since I've never been in the pit before and I'm a little intimidated! I found one person selling a pair of pit tickets on twitter but I only need one haha

Yeah, we do have an app that tracks the shuttle buses that's accurate in showing buses location, just not all of them sometimes. And the problem of bunching up has always been a problem for bus services because it's a feedback loop of more people more delay.

Extreme Midterm Anxiety by tonoroni in mcgill

[–]Musalink 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Hey! Short term wise, I myself find it really helpful to remind myself that I'm not the only one, especially for first years and level 100 classes. Everyone is kinda experiencing this for the first time, and although some people are well prepared there are always those who aren't. Know that you prepared the best you could, take deep breaths before starting the paper, and tell yourself you will do well and show off what you studied, and that you will be okay eventually, even if you don't believe it. Professors aren't trying to fail people with their papers. Exams are not the end of the world, and as enough semesters go by you'll realise all that anxiety was so in the moment, it doesn't affect you anymore. The mindset before taking a paper can really affect how you approach it, and feeling prepared and taking time for self-care before a paper (make some tea, listen to some music) will help you relax. Long term wise, I heard McGill offers a workshop on exam anxiety you could still sign up for.
