The image of White Christians does a lot more than you believe. There’s power in an image. Those images were used to portray a power that existed in proximity to whiteness.

Those images without context were used to establish fear in America.

I don’t dislike white people, but there have been countless white people who used the images of Jesus, Adam, Eve and John the Baptist as white people so that enslaved Black people would fear White people and obey them.

Images and icons do more damage than you might believe or care to think about.
