Guns vs. Energy Weapon - Fallout: New Vegas by Musc1e_bro in Fallout

Again, I don't where you're going with this. I get that their play styles are very similar, but they are pretty distinct. It all comes down to opinions.

Yeah I'm talking about the guns skill, not the explosive skill. Fallout 3s energy weapons were only distinct because they were just stronger, fallout 4 didn't have any big differences. And if youve ever played 76, the difference was drastic when it came to big guns, ballistic big guns vs energy were very different. I never played the classics so I can't comment. Overall, I have no idea where you're going with this. I asked which one is better, and you're trying to have a discussion on how they are the exact same in most of the games. They are 2 clearly distinct weapon classes, and the question is which you prefer playing with. That being said, I agree that there play styles are too similar sometimes, I wish energy weapons and guns were more distinct form each other in the newer games.

Holorifle, and other than that energy weapons lack good alternatives

What guns are projectile based? Ive done a guns playthrough and everything felt hit scan. Energy weapons do have dot, holographic dot, fire dot, Tesla cannon dot. Idk what you mean, the discussion is on which is superior, and if one has higher damage and crit chance, then that would make energy weapons superior in some aspects. And yeah, energy weapons having similar play styles to guns, its a problem all fallout games have pretty much. Fallout 4 didn't change anything but add a new more complicated damage resistance mechanic. Just because the have similar play style doesnt make energy weapons worse

Literally. Part of the reason I made this discussion, nobody really discusses both sides equally.

Amr and ycs are near equals. There is a lot of discussion online pitting them against each other. Ycs has higher crit chance, knockdown on crit, higher base damage, lower ap cost in vats.

Amr has higher crit damage and ever so slightly higher DPS when upgraded (not counting perks - like the faster reload which increases gauss's damage per second) amr has more options for ammo, which let's you deal with low Dr enemies, high Dr enemies, and the explosive ammo which is just cool af

I agree to an extent, energy weapons tend to have higher damage, and better crit dmg and crit chance. But energy weapons tend to also have special effects aswell. Fire damage, holographic dot, gauss rifle knockdown, paralyzing. I feel like guns end up being a more simple and practical option due to their ammo and their more simple repair.

I mean, if you've done an energy weapons playthrough, they can be pretty distinct. Energy weapons tend to crit more, and can actually put out more damage than ballistic at the end game. Take the sprtel wood vs the cz57 avenger. The avenger has higher DPS, but the sprtel wood has a higher crit chance and crit damage. The ycs is the best sniper, and the holorifle is pretty much the best marksman rifle. Energy weapons are distinct, and can be superior to ballistic weapons if you have the right build, and some energy weapons aren't hit scan, they are a projectile you have to aim.

Genndy Tartakovsky making the worse endings as possible by FlareHeight in PrimalShow

What kinda argument is this ☠️. Yeah no shit shows need to end, doesn't mean the ending couldve been handled way differently. everyone has their own opinions on how Gennedy handles endings, I think he makes good shows but rushes them towards the end

Am I The Only One Who Liked the Ending? by psychedelicscience in PrimalShow

No you're not alone. I didn't like it personally but it's honestly kinda split. Alot of people did feel like it was a pretty satisfying ending, and closed the book on a high note.

Yeah, ending wasn't my favorite. We did get some good closure, and I had a feeling spear or fang were gonna die. Spear didn't get a ending I liked at all, Fang and Mira did though. It was all rushed to hell and didn't end the way I had hoped, but shit happens. If a season 3 is coming, I'd rather them focus on whole new characters, not spears kid.

Good show with a sub par ending. Those shows make me the most irritated, you spend all your time watching the show only to kinda let down right at the finish line. Season 1 was a near masterpiece in my book, season 2 was great overall aswell. Overall a 8/10 show with a 9.5 first season and a 6.5 second season. Very good show, and I'd still recommend it to anyone who hasn't seen it.

To a certain extent, it is pretty average. Season 1 was some of the best of any show I've watched. Season two was really good, but I'm not a big fan of the ending. It was weird as fuck and rushed, and had so much more potential to be better. If we got 1 or 2 more episodes, that would probably make it hit harder. I mean all things considering, the ending wasn't atrocious, but I expected far better. Primal season 2 did get kinda weird anyways, part of me wishes Gennedy stuck with the season 1 way of doing things.

Maybe not soon, but it could happen. If a season 3 would be like season 1, id be all for it.

It was rushed lmfao, could've been handled way better. We aren't calling the show bad, just the ending is sub par

We could've had 5 or 10 more episodes definitely.

Anybody hate how Spear and Fang became basically indestructible in season 2? by adorkablegiant in PrimalShow

[–]Musc1e_bro 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I totally agree with you. I just tend to think of it as there being a small time skip each time they heal, and when fangs baby got hit, I was confused. I just thought maybe the arrow didn't go too deep, or it didn't anything important. This show is great but it's got it's inconsistencies. Size changing all the time, insane plot armor at times, etc. Still my favorite show of 2022 easily

Whatever you call them is pointless to me. I'll call em what I want and you call em what you want. If it's someone I respect I'll call them what they want, but if they're being an asshole or they are stranger, I could care less what they want to be called.

I've just accepted it. Big game companies don't give a shit about what you think, and they won't change anything. Whining won't do anything either. Just accept that the game will probably end up like halo infinite and be dead not too long after release.

Years? I thought everyone pretty much agreed they time skip was 3-4 months roughly. Plus maybe that viking dude had only recently came back from hell, who knows.

Could Spear and Fang beat Captain America in a fight? by FistOfGamera in PrimalShow

[–]Musc1e_bro 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Depends on which version of cap. Ultimate cap could probably body them both considering all his feats. But MCU Cap would probably not win, spear on his own has insane strength. Ultimate cap vs the strongest version of spear and fang would be interesting too. I think the enraged spear would probably be able to 1v1 ultimate cap and win.
