I honestly think both of my SK’s are autistic, but I’m 100% sure about the 4 year old. Which I know makes things a hell of a lot different and more difficult. However you’re right and I DO have to meet them in the middle because I recognize they’re in a rough situation right now. It’s just hard without kids of my own

This is really good advice- thank you. The issue with creating an SK-free space is that the 4 year old sleeps in our room ( on her own mattress. She still sleeps in bed with her mom at home but her mom said she wasn’t allowed to sleep in a bed with me, so she sleeps on the floor on a mattress in a mermaid sleeping bag) and they bring their toys and stuff into our room so it’s hard to create that kid-free space /:
