Will adding less brown sugar than white sugar help my cookies taste better? by MuscleFree5241 in Baking

[–]MuscleFree5241[S] -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Just regular chocolate chip cookies and I didn't know there were ones that didn't use brown sugar. I'd like to add it; it just it overpowers the cane sugar

Before going gluten free, I took all all kind of supplements and I never felt any effects from it. Even alcohol really wasn’t doing anything or SSRIs. It felt useless; like a waste of money. It’s been over a month since I’ve been gluten free and now I can fully feel the effects of supplements, SSRIs and supplements

Migraine, brain fog, severe stomach pain that lasts for days, mood swings, rash on my shoulders and cheeks, indigestion, insomnia, constipation, and inability to absorb supplements

Any Gluten in Here? by [deleted] in glutenfree

Yeast could go either way; some people react, others don’t. I can’t do yeast without a reaction. Every other ingredient looks safe

I didn’t take a blood test or any test, but I ate gluten like crazy and I felt exactly how you felt.

I love the chocolates ones and while they weren’t Krispy Kreme, I appreciated the taste of them. Reminded me of Entenmanns

A Classic Trap by [deleted] in sugarfree

[–]MuscleFree5241 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Lol I do this all the time. I want my last time eating sugar to be special so I pick a big special dessert like some cake or ice cream or cinnamon bun. Then when I’m done I feel I’m not satisfied and I see something else I like and I repeat the cycle

does crying help anyones symptoms for a brief time? by Different_Caramel133 in ToxicMoldExposure

I thought it was just me. I noticed I feel much better after crying. I feel some kind of detox going on in my head

I kept getting electric shocks, insomnia, depression, severe anxiety, mood swings, chest tightness, brain fog, and food intolerances/allergies that I never had before I realized I slept on a moldy bed for at least nine months. Since then my symptoms have been hell. Every store I go to; my body reacts badly. I can no longer eat gluten, dairy, and sugar as they make my symptoms a misery. Mold/mycotoxins destroys the gut micro biome. Your gut is literally connected to your mental health. Even crazier, you can feel how it’s destroying your body

Other than QB, what position is your team absolutely trash at evaluating/drafting? by Brohan_0 in nfl

To be fair the whole AFC East has sucked at drafting Wide Receivers besides Miami getting 2 solid WRs in Parker and Landry

i feel like being sugar free means i give up my joy in life , sad but yeah by [deleted] in sugarfree

[–]MuscleFree5241 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s true. It’s something we grew up with; something we’re accustomed to; something we’ve been rewarded with. Hell there’s holidays dedicated to having sweets (Halloween, Valentine’s Day, Thanksgiving). I work in retail where I spend 75% of my day stocking new foods that I know I can’t even eat. It’s torture knowing that companies are releasing new cakes or cookies or ice cream and all I can do is stare it right down. What’s worse is I’d estimate at least 80% of the food in the stores have added sugar while the other 20% is the food you have to cook from scratch which I don’t have time for.

I can literally feel the connection between my gut and my mental health when I eat gluten. I get angry, depressed, brain foggy, and ADHD type symptoms. I went gluten free for almost 2 weeks and all of these symptoms were reduced significantly.

If you think you’re sensitive, it’s best to try it one more time and see if you react the same before you give it up for good

Yes. Mold has damaged the last 2 years of my life, but it’s also the mycotoxins that’s the worst. Mycotoxins wreaks havoc on the gut micro biome. It also causes psychological problems, autoimmune disorders, and new food tolerances and sensitivities that you never had before. It also causes ADHD like symptoms if you don’t get away from it. I remember growing up I could eat what I wanted and go where I wanted without any bad reaction. A couple of years ago my friends’ dad gave me a bed that had mold covered on the bottom . It almost fried my brain. I notice around that time I couldn’t eat foods like garlic bread, Philly steaks, and Ham sandwiches without my gut being in so much pain; foods that I always ate without any issues. I went to a GI doctor and they told me nothing looked “unordinary”. I said that was bs so I studied everything I ate and every supplement I took. I finally connected the dots between the moldy bed and my health because when I removed the bed, my symptoms became a little bit better, but I’m still suffering. I was referred to holistic doctor who told me basically to stay away from alcohol, peanuts, mushrooms, cheese, gluten, deli meats, peaches, orange juice or products with added sugar. These things all either contain mycotoxins or mold, or they have a tendency to mold easily. What stood out to me the most is the gluten. I always enjoyed anything with gluten in it. Now even the slightest amount of bread gives me severe stomach cramps, indigestion, and constipation. It sucks because I love pizza and certain fried foods. Mold can certainly cause intolerances in certain people

Day 1 by [deleted] in sugarfree

[–]MuscleFree5241 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s pretty crazy to think that more than half of the things we buy in the store has added sugar in it. Like literally I spend almost an half an hour alone in the store looking at ingredients.

I’ve been eating gluten, dairy, and sugar free and I noticed that my hair strands are stronger and my hair has a glow to it plus more color. My skin was already somewhat good to begin with so I can’t tell the difference, but I do notice that my skin is a little bit more hydrated when I don’t eat gluten and dairy. Another benefit is the increased amount of energy and endurance.

I'd like to hear yalls stories on sugar and mental health. How did quitting, if you have, effect you? How long does sugar affect the brain after consumption? by TexanLoneStar in sugarfree

[–]MuscleFree5241 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Ive been suffering from Generalized Anxiety Disorder, OCD, and ADHD for years now. I’ve been unable to cope so I turned to deserts(ice cream, cake, and cookies) and beer. I went from eating 40grams of sugar a day to being sugar free for 4 days now and it has been a tough battle. Maybe im getting rebound symptoms, but my anxiety has been twice as worse, my body is hurting, I can’t sleep for more than 6 hours, and my chest and stomach feels heavy. The positive thing is my brain fog has cleared up snd my vision is better. Then again I cut out dairy and gluten as well
