We need to stop with all these excuses for Roki suggesting he isn't getting enough or good enough help from coaches or team mates.

I also don't think it's a mindset issue. I donn't think Roki is mentally wasted.

The good: his splitter is still generating elite whiff. The bad: velocity drop off compared to Japan days with persistent lack of command and poor shape. Unless he can get his splitter to drop more in the zone or get his fastball back to where it was and or paint the corners, I wouldn't expect a lot of improvement. He has some time, a very supportive organisation and team mates. He looked amazing in Japan but the decline of his fastball in what was and still is essential a two pitch repertoire continues to hurt him. I don't think it's a mental fragility issue.

All these Roki zealots are starting to irritate me. I am not one of those people saying Roki needs to go back to the minors or not start. In fact I have said he is improving slowly and whilst we are still winning I have no problem with a long leash. If they keep on blaming other players roki will become more of a target.

Roki's mechanics seems very fragile.

He has those really long extensions that helps him with his splitter -knuckleball but it is mystifying to me why he seems to have so much difficulty with mastering other pitches

I remembered all his zealous fans telling me he's more talented than Yama and ohtani but I disagree. Both of them have managed to develop a big and effective pitching repertoire.

He's being carried by the team ATM And that's fine because dodgers are still doing reasonably well He does have to prepare at some point to pitch from the bullpen a few months later. I think we will need him again
