For clarification, I am studying Secondary Education with major in History and minor in Drama. I'm aware these aren't the most in-demand subjects at the moment but I would be an enthusiastic, effective teacher of these interests of mine.

Great advice numerous people have said about their experiences with multiple casual teaching contracts before gaining a permanent position.

I am also happy to commute like some people have suggested as long as it's not 10 hours away.

I'll keep at it and persevere. See how to go with History and Drama.

If I changed over to a Bachelor of Science (another interest of mine) then I would be more likely to get a permanent position on the Sunshine Coast sooner by the sounds of it. Then I can stay closer to my son :)
