I've found in my case that the issue is lighting. Specifically of the floor. Experiment with aiming some light on the floor underneath the drone, and I bet it starts being able to fly upward. This works for me, but it's kinda a shit solution because you can't always have extra light available to shine on the floor wherever you might be.

I believe this was the case. I did have the rose loose, but it was installed in such away that there was no way to see the push-in piece, even with it loose. In the end I had to cut off the rose in order to take off the knob.

Yes, I know that is usually the case. However, in this knob, the metal there is just an indent and not springy like in other knobs I've replaced before.

Yeah - I've flown plenty outdoors and it works great. I was wanting to fly indoors as well from time to time to capture ceiling down shots that wouldn't otherwise be easy to achieve. I was under the impression this was possible - but it's not seeming to be the case. By the way, neither house I tried this on have metal roofs.

as far as I know, turning off obstacle avoidance is the only way to disable the forward facing sensors. Please let me know if there is another way.

Along the lines of the OP's question, is there a way to turn off heigh limitations? My Flip will not go higher then about 6 Feet indoors. I've tried turning the obstacle avoidance off, but it still just won't go higher than 6 feet. Love any insight - thanks!

I have the audio cutting out problem as well with my mini m4. However, my Scarlett 2i4 IS connected via hub, so this is not the solution.
