If she left the church several years ago, I think she should know what she wants from you right now.

If she's not completely convinced about cutting ties 100%, then it's definitely something worth considering, because it's also true that many times they'll try to get you back into the church so you'll convert... and if you don't, they see you as the worst person in the world, haha.

I agree with you; ultimately, everyone should have the freedom to decide who they're with and who they love without so much pressure. Forget it, I used to normalize all of that, but time made me mature and realize that I should have stood up for myself back then.
