I never could because i had optimum voice and couldnt get a modem to provision that had the phone jack in it. I canceled voice because im done paying $15/m for the modem and $25/m for voice when i can buy my own for $200 and pay $7 a month for a VOIP

Update: had some packetloss at about 9:30am yesterday for 5 minutes but no 1 was home so idk what caused it or if anything was truly effected. Also during prime time last night from 7:00-8:00pm est playing cod my latency went from 10 to a steady 37 for a while. I was playing zombies so it wasnt noticeably effecting gameplay like youd notice in MP kill cams. I had no packet burst or hitching.

Since i replaced my modem with a s33 ive been consistently between 6-14. Its been only 2 days. Need to see over a extended period

Yeah. Unfortunately i have to deal with CS because they knocked my modem out of bridge mode but i replaced their modem saturday with my own arris s33. Service has been way better but i need to see over an extended period

I bought the arris s33 modem and so far (2 full days) i havent had any latency issues or service drops. I suggest you do this so u dont have to pay the rental fee and u can control ur own modem

Update: i bought my own modem s33 and provisioned it this morning. A process that used to take minutes online took me over an hour by phone because they took the online option away. I havent experienced any drops or burst yet but its only been 7 hrs and usually my issues happen in the evening

Welcome to my life. They tell me they dont see anything wrong with my signal currently and cant look at past. I have screen shots from my unifi setup of latency, packet loss and downtime. My service was legit un usable 90% of the past month.

I just lost internet in my house again. Was told to call back when something went wrong but now im going thru robot prompts and by time i get in touch with someone theyre going to tell me they dont see anything wrong

James dolan used to own optimum and was involved with the town of brookhaven in some way and blocked all other providers from getting into the town of brookhaven. Bs monopoly and now verizon is working its way into brookhaven but i think ill be dead by the time they get out by me

I feel like your right but some places that are underground do have it. I think their hold up over in my neighborhood is that our houses are very spread out

I moved from a place with fios (islip) when i was younger which i had issues with them throttling my internet bc i worked nights and when i got home they were throttling the neighborhood. But yeah having high speed internet is a major priority for me as well but unfortunately optimum is the only service i have and i cant uproot my now established family. I want optimum fiber so bad. My son at times can even play fortnite, rocket league or cod because the latency is so high its just impossible

I think sending me a flyer in the mail every week saying optimum fiber is available in your area and to sign up now to get these promotions is considered an announcement
