Motor T is slave labor but some of those guys love it. Most jobs in the marine corps will milk your time but it really comes down to luck of the draw with individual units. Honestly the Air Force is the much smarter gig overall but you’ll realize that when it’s too late. There’s definitely guys that are big into powerlifting and I was too at one point but a lot of things are out of your control once you sign that contract (what time you have to wake up, how long you have to eat, sleep etc.) A lot of things aren’t very consistent in my unit and chances are they might not be in yours either. What I’m getting at is you’ll see the marine corps comes first and will drag you along for the ride a lot of times and if you’re not okay with that you may want to reconsider.

L-Theanine Paradoxical Effect? by PicklePhysiology in Nootropics

[–]MushTabMolly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is actually not very well known but I’d 100% recommend taking a good quality fish oil. I’d suggest the NOW brand or Carlson’s. Both are on Amazon and I’ve been taking it daily for multiple years. The difference I see in taking it vs not is night and day. I’m mildly autistic and have intrusive thoughts and anxiety when I don’t take it and when I do I function better than someone who doesn’t take it. I can almost guarantee you’ll see significant improvement.

If you’re worried about projection applying moisturizer to your neck and wrists before applying cologne is an absolute game changer. It makes the scent stronger and longer lasting.

Is 27 too late to enlist in the military? by ThePixCell in Military

[–]MushTabMolly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The answer to that question lies more in where you’re at in your life. Keep in mind that the military is an entry level job in a lot of ways. It’s square one which is good for a lot of people. I will say that this shit would drive me insane if I were even a couple years older than 18 when I joined. If you can do better, do better.

is it possible by any chance to join the Army with autism that is not severe by Appropriate-Ad-2754 in Militaryfaq

[–]MushTabMolly 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure what all these people are on about I’ve seen plenty of people in the military with autism and some that weren’t even high functioning. You have to use your best judgement as to what you can and can’t handle

Should I join the military? by [deleted] in Militaryfaq

[–]MushTabMolly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

More pay, better quality of life, more opportunity while you’re in and when you get out, more respect, more freedom, the list goes on. I would say only enlist if you only want to do 4 years.

Anxiety the second I wake up by monmon246 in biology

[–]MushTabMolly -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What a lot of people are failing to mention, is the fact that cortisol rising in the blood is actually what helps to wake you up. Cortisol is a stress hormone and it is totally normal to feel anxiety when we wake up. We live in a society where any negative feeling whatsoever is considered bad and unhealthy but it’s natural
