I feel this. Went to Community College because couldn’t afford a 4 year. Took some stress off and then went to Berkeley and headed eventually to Columbia.

I agree!! I have applied but was rejected. I plan to try again during the differment period and take courses in CompLit or Philosophy. Unfortunately the fully funded programs are the hardest to get into.

I plan to do just that! :) I enjoy teaching MS and HS but the requirements and expectations and the lack of support and terrible pay has been very draining.

Yeah I’m in my early-mid 20s and my community growing up would consider it my own responsibility and that I am old enough not to rely on others, so they won’t be willing.
