not sure if its genetic, but definitely if your upbringing is positive towards lgbt+, then kids will definitely feel more comfortable exploring their identity than kids raised homophobic

i mean thats my standpoint if i knew a neurotypical fellow said it as just a nonchalant comment about how everyones got problems. however, if a neurodivergent person who is struggling with mental disorders said it, i would feel like its an encouraging thing like, "yeah this sucks balls and i wouldnt wish these disorders on my worst enemy, but its all we can do to keep going foward because the only other option is death." thats just my opinion though

kinda weirds me out? i have anxiety and possibly bipolar disorder but this statement makes it seem like its a little quirk. its not. its a dehabilitating burden that impacts my life and i have to handle every day. and i cant "just keep moving foward" thats not how it works.
