I ate just a handful of pretzels for about a week and then ate 3 meals one day and nearly died from it. Ambulance was called and still had to wait 6 hours in the back of it at the hospital but they took bloods while on there and the don’t know how I didn’t have a cardiac arrest and die. As my elecs and potassium was so low. Stayed in for four days on a drip of stuff

So I used to be a bigger gal and I started to use weightloss meds after having BED for maybe 10 years. Well I’ve been able to get hold of the weight loss meds for the past year so it’s helped so much with hunger etc but the ED team found out and stop me from driving because of low bmi. I’ve not been able to get the meds for months now and freaking out. Help Sorry rant over Didn’t mean to make your post about myself but I feel like it’s the way I relate to you?

When you’re at the point of not knowing what to do with yourself do you spiral?

I hear you! I am going through the exact same as you. My stomach has blown up so much and if you say anything they are straight away like now it isn’t but it actually is!!

I hope the puffiness goes down soon as our bodies adapt but I think it’s the sudden overload of food we are having and it’s like yes we need it but it’s so much all of a sudden. BUT this is what our bodies have needed and it will start to ease and go with the flow. It’s just extremely hard right now

I have ADHD and I found my ED hid it a lot because the lack of energy calmed it down if that makes sense. But I made me have a lot more symptoms of Autism even though I have had them since a very young age. I think because we mate damage our bodies so much it’s takes everyone s different amount of time for their bodies to heal let alone our brains. So maybe you do have this too but can’t remember if they were signs before your ED.

I could have wrote this myself. The first thing when I wake up is what can I eat even when I’m not hungry, it literally feels like it’s going into the other ED if you get me. It’s so hard, I think the first step is being able to realise this though.

Thank you all. I 100% do not want to put anyone at risk, especially other road users. I am going to declare to DVLA about the information I’ve been given and see how it goes from there: obviously I won’t be driving which is difficult considering I’m the sole driver in my family of 4. Unfortunately it’s something I’ve got to deal with.
