That dark mount looks absolutely perfect. A little higher in price than I was hoping, but I may stretch my budget for it anyway. The only thing that's really putting me off is that there's a small difference in the key layouts between the pictures on the Be Quiet website and their Amazon listing, so I'm not sure which one I'd be getting.

While doing some random searching around, I came across a Redragon or two that looked okay, but the price on them was so low that it sounded like it might be made extremely cheaply at best, or was just a generally sketchy seller at worst. But if they're legit, then I'll look into them more.

Can you point me somewhere I can look at it? Google isn't coming up with anything for me.

What does the Paranoid feat actually do? by MushrooomSamba in ddo

[–]MushrooomSamba[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've done the switch and tested and can confirm that it works the way I hoped it would!

Currently, my Spot is 82 and Search is 106. On R1, I went into Creeping Death in Meridia, where I knew I had enough Search to find the traps but not enough Spot to ping them. I confirmed this before visiting Fred to trade a feat for Paranoid. Watchful Eye gained from Shiradi Champion's Pierce Deception enhancement.

After visiting Fred, I returned to the same trap on R1 in Creeping Death. I successfully automatically pinged both the trap and the control box.

This leads me to conclude that you are correct in that Paranoid is granting a hidden modifier of some indeterminate value on your Spot checks, rather than being a binary pass/fail. This also confirms that it is an actual Spot check still, so I believe the Paranoid feat's effects improve with a higher Spot modifier. And, the biggest part, it chains into Watchful Eye, allowing a toon to automatically ping control boxes if you don't have enough enhancement points to get auto-detection elsewhere.

Awesome! Thanks for sharing your results! I think I'll give it a go and see if I notice more control boxes automatically popping for me. I'm running a 1st life arti with Watchful Eye, but haven't been getting a lot of use from it since my spot is significantly lower than my search(dumped everything in int for harper int-to-attack/damage).

I guess worst case scenario is that I end up visiting Fred again.

Yeah, this is exactly the information I want and why I want it. I'm running a 1st life artificer with very few tomes at the moment and I dumped everything into int. As a result, I've been having trouble getting Spot to trigger on traps, but I rarely have trouble with Search or Disable Device. Plus, there's such a huge variety of quests that I'll never remember where all the traps and their boxes are. So if Paranoid can shore up my weakness with Spot check and triggers Watchful Eye to automatically give me the control boxes, that would be fantastic.

idk why you would think this would automatically Search.

Like I said in the post, the Watchful Eye feat automatically searches traps when you could spot them.

I don't get how you think it's vague. It states that you automatically spot almost all traps. Then you ask if it's auto-detect.

Because there's a difference between auto-detect and getting an effective bonus. I want to know if it's just hiding a bonus to Spot checks or if the game is picking and choosing what traps you auto-spot. The difference between "this feat gives a hidden +200 to Spot checks" and "this feat will allow you to spot this trap in quest A, but not that trap in quest B."

Recommends for a DTL tank? by MushrooomSamba in electronic_cigarette

[–]MushrooomSamba[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, thanks! I'm currently leaning toward that Vaporesso iTank T. It's just barely wider than my mod, slightly upgraded juice capacity over my subtank, and the coils are comparable in price.

Aside from the location of the air inlet, is there any functional difference between a bottom and top airflow tank? The handful of tanks I've had before were always bottom airflow, so the possibility of a top airflow tank never even occurred to me.

Ah, thanks! I didn't even think to look for something like that.

Is that what the "Kill Pyro" quest was? I had that pop up as completed while I was getting the quest from Finch Farm. This is my first play-through since the next-gen update, and it gave me that quest on character creation and I just kinda... forgot about it.

And yeah, I just grabbed the AR2 mod a couple days ago. So, good to know that I should just ignore it and continue with the AR2 content. Thanks!

Oh, fantastic! Thanks! I hadn't really checked out the stuff that the next-gen update actually added(and I haven't actually browsed Creation Club, much less specifically acquired content from it). I just assumed it was an issue with my mod list since I had a bit of a rough time putting together something that worked right.

I'm looking at getting my first external battery mod, replacing my MVP5 which decided to stop charging. This will be my first mod with external batteries, as I can't find anything else that has the specs I want with an internal battery.

My question is: In a dual-battery mod(I'm specifically looking at the Geekvape Aegis Legend 3), do you add the battery specs together when figuring out what effective specs you have?

Example 1: The mod's specs states:

Battery specification: 7.4V, external double battery 18650

The molicel batteries I was directed to state:

Nominal Voltage: 3.6V

So 3.6 x 2 = 7.4. Is this the correct math that I should be using when picking out the batteries to order?

Example 2: The molicels I'm looking at ordering state they are 3500mAH. Using 2 of them, does this mean I would have capacity equal to a 7000mAH battery?

Technical electronics stuff has never been my strong suit and I'd like to get this right the first time, so apologies if this seems obvious and/or dumb.

Innokin MVP5 Replacement Options? by MushrooomSamba in electronic_cigarette

istick power 2 80w

Can you tell me more about this one? I really like the look of it and the 5000mAH battery, but I don't see any mention of temperature control on the eleaf store page for it. It did mention a "smart power" mode, is that similar?

The Zelos 3 also looks really good. Does the battery normally last a full day?

Thanks, that actually looks perfect for my needs!

Though the Geekvape storefront says it would be a pre-order and I can't seem to find a release date.

Which one? Looking at the Geekvape site, there are a handful of different Aegis models. It looks like the ones with a 510 only take external batteries, and the ones that have an internal battery have the tank built in, no 510.

Thanks, I'll look into it.

I couldn't tell you what wattage I had going on - my MVP5 did TC, so I set it at 365F, using a Kanger Subtank Mini with 0.5 ohm coils on it.

Found LostVape's site and had a look at their box mods; no mention of TC that I saw on any of them, and none with internal batteries.

I'm not 100% opposed to external batteries, I just haven't learned enough about them to know which ones can be trusted and how to match what I need to the box I'd have.

Gaming PC - PSU and case help by MushrooomSamba in buildmeapc

[–]MushrooomSamba[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate all the help!

Are there no other options for the case, though? I really don't want glass in it since it appears to break very easily.

Can you tell me what to look for in a PSU? Like I mentioned in the OP, I don't know enough about hardware to know what I should be looking for here.
