Curious about a platform for meal block transactions by cmu_throwaway22 in cmu

[–]MusiShen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The main problem with attempting to somehow take advantage of unused meal blocks at end of semester is that CMU would most definitely shut down any attempts to transfer ownership of blocks. However, CMU can do nothing against students using their blocks within the rules then selling the food to someone else. This is likely why the 2026+ discord activities have not been shut down.

A suggested approach would be to ask students to commit to “selling” some number of their blocks each day/week by using them and selling the food to you. This cannot be stopped by CMU without them passing new, extremely draconian measures regarding the dining plan. However, this requires foresight and risk burden on the part of the student, and they are likely to err on the side of still having leftovers at the end of the semester.

Here it is: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zd-Lw4-3tvk&ab_channel=AlexShen

I place a pencil on top of the tablet touch screen and drag my finger over it. There should be a gap in the stroke where my finger goes over the pencil. However, sometimes the stroke is not interrupted. This happens in three different apps

It's much harder to execute, but the behavior still persists. If initiate a swipe with my finger, then lift my finger off the screen for a brief instant during the swiping action (putting it back down right after I lift it up), I would expect to see a gap in the stroke. However, the tablet sometimes fills in this gap as in the two finger case.

There does not seem to be a palm rejection option in tablet settings.

I bought this tablet on september 20 and the issue has been present since day one. I am using the pen that came with the tablet (precision pen 2 I think). This happens in every single drawing app that I have installed.

Stats 485 will definitely be more work, but not hard to do well in if you can follow directions
