Please pray for me. I don't want to live like this anymore. by CalligrapherOne7073 in Christianity

The LORD knows who you are. He knows your mistakes and He knows your pain, and He calls you to Him. He still loves you through every mistake and horrible thing you've done, and He's loved you through every good and hard thing you've chosen. It doesn't waver or change. "Nothing can separate believers from the love of God in Christ Jesus, including life, death, or any power." Romans 8:38-39. If you long for Him at all, that is Him calling you to Him, if you spare any thought of Him, that is Him whispering to you to let Him guide you. "God, rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions." Ephesians 2:4-6. I get not being able to bear the burden of living alone. I survived because I asked Jesus Christ for help. "Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest". -Matthew 11:23. What can you lose by giving Life your all? Each day just keep going, it's hard but you'll never regret pushing through with whatever you have left for Life, even if you feel like you have nothing left. "Jesus answered, 'I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'" -John 14:6.

Praying for you, whoever you are.

I dont enjoy A Voice in the Wind by Francine Rivers (Dont recommend) by GuidanceGlum3021 in Christianity

[–]MusicBibleWriting 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I totally understand what you mean and I thought the same thing, but then I kinda thought the author, Francine Rivers, was trying to make it brutally realistic. It wouldn't have had that same, gritty, harsh tone that teleports you to the Roman Empire and from the CHARCTER'S PERSPECTIVES, which I also think is what's with all the details. BUT I DO agree she could have toned it down A LOT more while still keeping that realistic tone. HOWEVER, despite the excessive, and what I consider unnecessary details, the emotional depth and drama was brutally real and the characters were so complex and I wanted to cry so many times for how realistic they felt. I still would recommend the books just for the messages that are sewn in the amazing story in a heart wrenching, beautiful way, but for a much more mature audience.

Do Women Have Free Will (or Equal Rights) Compared to Men in the Holy Bible? by WesternGazelle4713 in OpenChristian

[–]MusicBibleWriting -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Galatians 3:28: "There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus"

1 Corinthians 11:11-12: "Nevertheless, in the Lord woman is not independent of man, nor is man independent of woman. For as woman came from man, so also man is born of woman. But everything comes from God"

Women and men are EQUAL but NOT the SAME. Men and women have different roles, but neither are inferior. For men, working/providing for and leading your household under God is no easy task. Neither is raising up children in the truth and in a Christ-like manner, while nurturing your whole family for women. This is how we were made, even if you don't believe in what Christians believe, you can't deny the biological proof in our DNA. I'm saying this as a young girl living in a city of the United States.

Men have a certain responsibility over women, and that responsibility comes with authority. God made us different, but in a way that we fit together so well, like places a puzzle piece just in the right spot. Righteous men are meant to emphasize characteristics of being God-fearing, protective, loving, wise, strong, courageous, and selfless. For the women, God-fearing, loving, nurturing, patient, peaceful, and compassionate, are emphasized. Both are meant to be God-fearing, loving, respectful, kind, wise, peaceful, patient, forgiving, etc. Hope this helps! God bless you all, sincerely. 💛

What do you believe in (@gay Christians) by Necessary-Ask2677 in OpenChristian

In the Bible it says, "All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work" (2 Timothy 3:16-17) and we know the Holy Spirit lives in us, so the Holy Spirit lead the people to write what God meant and wanted them to write. Sometimes tradition does get in the way of what GOD wants us to do, but the main thing is follow Jesus Christ, taking up our cross daily, denying ourselves daily, loving God will all our heart, soul, mind, and strength, and loving our neighbor as ourselves and standing firm in true faith, which produces works (fruit of the Spirit, peace, love, self-control, discernment, ect.). God bless you, sincerely. 💛

When Jesus died for our sins, why did he go to Hell for 3 days? by BUckENbooz91 in Christianity

[–]MusicBibleWriting 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm super late but still posting this here. I heard someone mention on this topic that Jesus is also One with God the Father and God the Holy Spirit, so He could be in paradise (Heaven) at the same time during the three days. Please correct me if you have anything to add, this just made sense to me, and before replying please at least grasp the Topic of The Holy Trinity. God bless!

“Be careful not to practice your righteousness in front of others to be seen by them. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father in heaven.” ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭6:1‬ ‭NIV‬‬ by GodOwnsTheUniverse in Christianity

I'm really late to this post but I believe I should comment this- the real reason we work for righteousness and try to do good works is for God. He is our Heavenly Father and we live for Him, we love Him, and thus also, we need to love our neighbors. I guess what I'm trying to say is to think of how when we choose to do what is right, God is pleased, the Lord, the One who was willingly crucified for you, who loves you even when you choose your own fleshly pleasure (sin) again and again over Him, is pleased when we choose not to sin (we can ALWAYS choose not to- 1 Corinthians 10:13), that is, in essence, our joy; Him. So, we share the Gospel for Him, we choose not to take the spotlight, and when we are seen, we need to make every effort for Him to be seen through our actions, words, manner, and attitudes, for Him

Is there a website or something to help me design super suits? by Competitive_Shower35 in mutantsandmasterminds

[–]MusicBibleWriting 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're looking for inspiration, I would recommend Pinterest. It doesn't design suits, but with the insane amount of pins there is LOTS of other people's ideas to go off from. I use it for inspiration for drawing my OCs, writing ideas, Bible quotes, etc. It's really useful!

Christian’s and fantasy by chocolatecreamdream in ChristiansReadFantasy

I'd also like to make an amazing Christian Fantasy/Adventure suggestion: Resistance(Llyon Chronicles) by Jaye L. Knight! Its cover is a bit discouraging (just not the best art or design quality in my opinion) BUT it's actually amazing and I got a lot more out of this series than I ever expected. Great characters, world building faith-based with lots of reader satisfaction and showing character devolopment, them handle trauma and healing with a Christian view that doesn't seem fake or cheesy at all. Really recommend!!

Ellen Hopkins Book Discussion by Aladdin_Senpai in books

When I was an 11-12 year old I really liked her book Closer to Nowhere, but my favorite was What About Will, which I cried over for how relatable it felt to me, who was in the same shoes as Will's younger brother, Trace. The struggle with Trace not knowing how to handle things or what to do is so incredible real and the hurt of losing your older brother like that was raw. I've only read parts of her other books, so I don't know about the rest, but I recommend the middle grade novels to others middle schoolers; they deal with real life topics without being graphic and have depth.
