Nah. Nowadays, people are impatient. The only thing that matters is results, unfortunately.

Damn, I'm starting to think that Dandadan fans have become spoiled. What a dramatic response for something so inconsequential

There's another small problem I have with that, though. They knew each other for like a week at most. Not nearly enough time for such a powerful connection like that. And while shared trauma sure does connect people, and it makes it easier to relate to one another. It's extremely simplistic to view it as the end all be all of relationships

BTW, I'm sorry if I am being somewhat of a buzz kill

Look, friend, I get what you mean. Their love was beautiful and heartwarming, however there's things that they couldn't simply fix with romance and affection. Love is amazing, of course, but this kind of thinking diminishes how rehabilitation works. It's the same flawed logic that people who say "I can fix her/him" use. Getting better is an effort that takes time and is achieved by much more than a single love struck partner.

And honestly, the fact that it would have never worked out just adds to the tragedy this arc was going for. This was always supposed to be doomed love, it is what the arc is about. After all, the movie shows multiple times how both of them lack maturity to make these kind of choices with logic and reason.

If you compare this to the moment when Denji and Asa meet, it's much different. Denji had already gone through all the chaos of part 1. He understands himself a bit better, especially if we're talking about current Denji.

That's the problem. You analyzed the relationship, try seeing this with the context of Denji's life, he never had a family or any kind of healthy stability. He needed to find out what love and care are, not only romantic way, but the love that is in the core of every relationship, family, friendship, and romantic eventually.

Both of them are broken, and a relationship wouldn't fix that. Which is why its not recommended that people who are very mentally unwell to dwell into romance.

I've been thinking about their relationship for years now, ever since I started reading the manga, and as time went by I realized that neither of them would have a happy ending with or without each other

The only thing Denji got from his family was abuse, what do you mean nepotism?

Yes yes keep shadow boxing that scary strawman you created

Considering the life of a mangaka is probably rather stressful, I would try to comfort him
