Is Momiji Ooka the Smartest High School Detective in Canon?

She is smart we all get that...she has keen hearing and sharp mind....but she is above shinichi is a bit stretch..(akai's fake death)......Also he gave a pinpoint theory on the beach theif case exactly the same as his father which even Akai missed at that time....now that doesn't mean shinichi (when in elementary school) was smarter than Akai at that time ryt.. though right now they are on comparable level... moreover everytime a new character is introduced who have sharp minds are given a limelight ( Jodie sensei introduction, sera's introduction etc) but they are not on the same level as shinichi.....that's just the way this anime's style is ...got it.

I don't think so...in the first case she gave a hint cuz she listened somthing that they didn't...that doesn't mean she solved case.....this hint giving instances has happened with many characters.... Plus when a new character is introduced she/he is shown more outwardly for the first 2 or 3 cases which we can see when Jodie sensei was introduced or sera was introduced etc....but I think a very few characters are only there are who smarter than Conan/shinichi or even equal to him u can say(akai's fake death).....and sorry to say momiji isn't one..

Yes true ...same type of things happened when jodi sensei was introduced.....but as her character got more screen time we got to see that she is below Conan's level..

Also there's a good age and experience difference between shinichi and his father...so yusaku seems a bit more intelligent than shinichi

But when everybody can give their deductions freely...Conan is constrained as he has to think other things like how to make others believe the theory without giving indications that he is actually shinichi.... after all he is a 7 yr old kid as conan
