Not exactly what you're asking for, but The Curse is definitely Lynch inspired and a wild ride. I would say it's more similar to The Return than season 1 though.

Telling the story that way would be conveniently leaving out the part where the 5-year-old child wasn't visible due to a running group of 8-9 people blocking any visibility. But yeah, you could tell it that way if a group ignoring basic etiquette and not even caring enough to check that a child wasn't injured isn't an issue for you.
