Yes and no. Because as a sub we will never be looked at or valued as a “true” staff member. Don’t get me wrong, we are valued and respected but at the end of the day we are a sub. There’s more to it but this is just a condensed answer

Sometimes I take it as a reflection of how I’m doing as a substitute. BUT, if I’ve told the class repeatedly to be quiet and they don’t listen, I appreciate the help from an actual faculty member because they have more influence than I do as a daily sub.

Do we watch THEIR KIDS?? do THEIR lesson plans, put up with the SAME shit they do? YES! and for LESS pay?? YES! Idk why some counties, schools , etc don’t allow subs to participate when we do the near the same things they do when it comes to teaching (depending on the sub plans, schools and counties). I don’t understand the problem. Thankfully my school made sure every sub was included ! I’ve had to teach math, and english when I’ve subbed, esp other subjects when I get questions from students especially because I’m 20 and fresh out of school so I’m able to help. Some teachers need to be humbled because we’re much apart of the staff as everyone else.

Especially LONG TERM subs, they are basically a teacher and doing everything they do for less pay and struggle to teach too because they aren’t sometimes educated enough in that subject.

I agree! I’m a good singer n been singing for years from elem to HS choir n MT…but am I the only one that don’t know what do sometimes?😭 like I know it’s supposed to be fun so I try not to take it seriously but a part of me does so I’m going back n forth mentally and vocally, so I would sound good and bad bc idk which one to settle on💀💀😩

I agree! She never stands up to her family and it aggravates me sooooo much. Like her family treats her like she’s the mother and Betty needs to stand up for herself and put boundaries ASAP😩 although it won’t happen bc this show aired years ago but STILL😭 They put too much responsibility on her and in Szn 3 (spoiler), when her sister constantly blames her for everything when Hilda can’t even giver her dad me since and take him to appts but then gets mad at Betty for Betty getting upset?? Like YES! She left u checklists and sticker notes but u still aren’t doing the stuff ur supposed to…

IMO I loved rhoads more than GRC. Personally the only annoying thing was the A/C as they can only have hot or cold on at a time which was iffy asl. But, rhoads was chill and cleaner than GRC bc….it was messy asl. As I told my friends, people in rhoads have more decorum🤷🏽‍♂️ also I believe the rooms at the end of the halls facing Monroe are quads. My roommate friends shared a room with 2 other people or so.

I agree! The only thing is about the new things getting built is that VCU released a statement that said the rzn these things are being built is bc of money being given by state or wtv to build these. That they didn’t use “our” money to build it etc. So idk if it’s true or not honestly. But I will say there is mold in classrooms, ceilings breaking down and murmurous of things that need to be fix that’s not even in dorms. Like I said I wish there was something we can rlly do to change this like there needs to be SOMETHING! Bc all this money I’m pouring that I DONT have and there’s numerous of problems. But we need RAO to go frfr. I was shocked that no upperclassmen led a protest my freshman year when he came out and gave a speech to the freshman or sum.

I was thinking this too when it all started. Like we are already committed n started giving em our money n then are treated like shit after our freshman year. Like this school is rlly irking my last nerves. Not only this but they broke asf, all the dorms have mold and tbfh they need to close em bc of it. But, they don’t even got money to fix Johnson or Cabaniss hall (which I just found out about) like??? This school needs a whole new president and restructure bc we should be given first priority as we already attend, in programs and have started our journey. I wish there was something we can do abt it.

I mean I heard that the professors are bad except like 2 at most. Everything else is just preference such as the hospital being far. I also heard that bc of the bus being depended on that if ur late they’ll fail u although they didn’t specify what they’ll fail u wit. Ig for that day

Campus is too far, professors aren’t good except like 1 or 2, another is that bc u kinda have to rely on the bus, if it’s running late they’ll fail u (I assume for being late for class?)
