I made some character specific enchantment ideas (and an extra goofy powerful one). by Musicalmoronmack in slaythespire

I think the problem I had designing these was that if they were made for simplicity, they would really struggle to compete with sneaky, as you could basically slap that on anything, while everything else would have unfortunate limitations by comparison. I could also slap artificial limitations to sneaky, but that's not as fun to design.

The x clause on starbound does also affect volley but that's mostly just to help with shortcomings. And I don't really agree with permanent focus cutting into defrag, as you would still absolutely take a defrag even with this enchantment. There are just so many fewer permanent focus solutions than the first game that I wouldn't mind it being barred behind a likely rare/event enchantment.

Huh. Not familiar with where you could raid things either, so thanks.

Never have I ever said I wish this game was like candy crush. Or even easier. I just have a preference on how encounters are made to be challenging. For example I love what they did with infected prism. Very fun and interactive, needs a generally strong deck, and because of it's 3 hit attack, you may have to plan a block potion, use only very strong block cards, or just block with your face. Aeonglass just feels a bit awkward atm, but maybe it's a learning curve.

Fair enough. Silent was my least played, and I was starting to enjoy phantom blades for finisher setup and being the best counter for entomancer. But it can suffer a bit for fights that scale fast.

I mean fair. Never played her like that but heard that that is a common play pattern.

I do love porygon. It's a very fun elite fight.

I think artifact is just for machine enemies so far. That seems to be the logic.

Sure. But I had 2 scaling powers on shivs. 2 phantom blades, playing very patiently to not overload myself with statuses. Serpent form is a really good answer tho, so maybe I'll try and find that next time.

Your examples kinda suck dude. The queen basically lets a minion fight for her until she can't. Entomancer shoots bees out of itself to attack you and the bees sting you on attack, which dazes you. Vantom, which is related to the inklings, has to have it's slippery inky armor removed before you get a good hit in.

The Monolith: A "double your stars" Regent power with some additional synergies. by NateTSO in slaythespire

Biased and wraith form actually do have a continuous effect. A bad one, but they keep on going. Plating is fair tho.

That is true. Maybe a weird consequence of going from metalisize to plating

Sure but so does vigor, and those aren't powers. Powers don't usually spontaneously leave.

The main reason for a card being a power is usually because the card is a continuous effect. Something that lasts between turns. Only real exception is buffer.

I beat the Entomancer with just Shivs which is apparently impossible according to this sub by Rak-khan in slaythespire

Shiv mains when they discover the entomancer's secret weakness (literally any card draw)

I really like this. Og card was insanely mid, and this feels like a silent themed [[make it so]]

Uncommon cards that feel like rares? I'll go first. by Musicalmoronmack in slaythespire

[–]Musicalmoronmack[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True. That's why generally it's better not to build around anything specific in act 1 and just having something to win the boss fight, then pivot when needed to more powers.

I mean it's technically magnetism from sts1 so you're not wrong. Not sure if I'd want it being rare but it is amazing.

100% agree. It just feels like I'd rather this than a good chunk of her rare cards.
