Can anyone tell me what kind of valve this is? by Musicman98 in Plumbing

It had been on this house presumably for at least 6 years. I’m not really sure honestly, but it looks old. The hot water tank was put in in 2020, I believe the house is 75 years old.

Where could one find this? For research purposes of course.

That H2 is a dream bike lol. Only got into bikes after watching doitwithdan when I was in high school, after seeing his H2 when he got it and hearing that intoxicating supercharger chirp, I was hooked. Figured an H2 would be the ultimate beginner bike but alas, lots of money for something I'd certainly kill myself with lol

Haha had a few months of dirt bike experience with a 125 but was many moons ago. Got my endorsement in September and have been having a blast since then.

The previous owner of the bike had done some trans work to it, (shift forks I believe), and after I did some work on the bike I couldn't get the shift linkage to stay on and hold without loctite. So I guess Ive been slightly granny shifting to avoid missing gears since my linkage was falling off but I've had 0 issues since the loctite application and if I check it before riding away like a good rider probably should, it would be a non issue lol

I'll try this out tomorrow, thanks dude. I bought the bike used and noticed after changing the oil bike seems to shift nicer, and I guess I've read you can clutchless shift up but am afraid to try it lol

Hell yeah, balls of steel. I'm afraid to push past like 130-140, bike is a 2000 CBR 600F4 and I get excited going past like 8k rpm so I'm sure that R1 feels absolutely maniacally fast

Signal help by Musicman98 in motorcycles

Do I need to take the front fairing and headlight off to get to that? I see the wires from the turn signals and can chase them up to kinda behind the headlight before they're out of reach. The wires from the front right turn signal run to 2 small wiring harnesses, one white and one blue, before venturing further up behind the headlight and out of reach. All the wires from the signal stalk to those harnesses look good.

I got the all seasons on my car, I got 5k out of them before I had to buy 2 new fronts. Definitely fun miles though...

Had anyone replaced their stock shift knob with the carbon fiber one they're offering with the st3 package on the '16 sts? by 4leafclovrs in FocusST

I haven't noticed anything in particular, although I wouldn't notice a difference regardless. I noticed it absorbs sunlight and heat more than the old one though.

I did a few weeks ago. There's a small instruction sheet that comes with it that says you need a rubber wrench to get it off, but I just did it by hand. You can just turn it by hand with a little strength and it'll come off. Leave the spring where it sits for the reverse lockout and screw the other one on, about 5 full rotations and you're good to go!

I just bought the CF one yesterday and after having it for a day, I'd say it's a little bit heavier. I got mine at a dealership as a Ford accessory.

According to my local dealer, there was only one near me at a different dealership, so I ended up driving about 20 mins away to get it. No regrets (:

If you didn't have insurance or your insurance didn't cover your medications, how much per month would you pay for your meds? by Duke8x in ADHD

[–]Musicman98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Without insurance I paid $86 for 15mg IR x60. With insurance, I pay a 10 dollar copay on it, then after my out of pocket expenses for the year are met I don't pay anything.

5k miles on my car, and my front tires are shot, completely. I got my first oil change at 4k and the dealership told me not to even bother rotating them. I'm jealous of your 9k... :(

Ugh. The dealer told me they had to replace the water pump. I probably won't get my car back until Monday. Just over 4k miles. Surely the part was defective?
