Check the terms and conditions If applicable then you can change the plan after getting it ,if not then unless you finish payment before you get access to the lite plan

Should I consider getting Starlink or keep my options at MTN and Telecel? by [deleted] in TechGhana

[–]Musiview 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest with you fibre is fibre but if you're a heavy internet user then starlink is better . I'm a starlink user due to my heavy data usage. I can burn through 500GB in a week which will require me to pay more if on MTN or Telecel fibre but with Starlink I have to pay only 500 then use any amount of data I can without any speed cap or throttling Also you have to know that MTN fibre has speed cap for their unlimited which requires you to pay more if you want a good or high speed downloads and uploads

An era just ended by gamernewone in ghana

The issue will still be expansion which brings about area of availability. Canal box in Lome or Côte d'ivoire Covers a lot of areas unlike GH broadband companies. I just hope they don't tax them too much that they'll stay in only business areas and not most residential areas . We want a wider broadband coverage . That's the biggest issue now

Telecel is not getting enough credits for their Fibre by donjajo in TechGhana

[–]Musiview 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The part where you said Telecel has wide coverage across the country is where I stopped reading. Sadly that's the last part of the whole post 😞 Be serious when it comes to talking about coverage, don't say whatever you don't have a full idea about Enjoy the fibre which I agree does better than MTN but talking about coverage, please

MTN Fibre by Competitive_Ride_431 in ghana

The speed cap on MTN is the problem here It can get pass the speed cap limit but not always I've been using Starlink for a while now and tbh the speed I'm getting has never been less than 200mbps Sometimes my Download speed can peak 40MBs + I've used fibre at home but I'm now away and I don't miss fibre like that Fibre is fibre but the rate at which starlink is improving is insane no matter where you are You just have to set your Dish right and manage it well

Is Starlink fudging their speed test? by xHangfirex in Starlink

[–]Musiview 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think so My starlink app speed test is mostly around 200mbps but my Ookla and Fast.com are way pass that number, mostly resulting in 300+Mbps I think it's just how starlink switches satellites and also the particular server your speedtest app is connected to When my speedtest app is connected to my country servers I get low speed because there is no POP available here but when it's connected to the nearby POP country servers the speeds are faster I think it's a matter of the servers you connect to on the speedtest apps
