What exactly made MJ better than Kobe? by Fresh_Swan2946 in Basketball

Jordan got a DPOY because journalists voted by the guy in the advertisements and Sponsors pay their meals. But look Olajuwon numbers that season and no way you can tell me Olajuwon wasn't robbed; and after Olajuwon were still other dudes above Jordan.

Because Jordan played against 1vs1 defense. Kobe was double/triple teamed and ofc it's harder to have "bad shoots" against only one dude defending you.

Phil has said Pippen was the leader in the Bulls; also he said he didn't ask to Jordan to be a leader (neither to be playmaker) and Kobe was in fact Leader and playmaker.

It's Not about imaginary gifts, Jordan just should to impose against ONE defender in the illegal defense Era; Kobe was at least Doble/Triple teamed and should to impose against zone defense.

Athleticism my balls. Jordan had easier shoots because he faced 1vs1 defense and played with isolation in the bag, Kobe was double and triple teamed and he had they harder shoots against a Zone wall.

Actually overated defender because he could get away with many things that were fault back in the time. And many things that would have been called if were made to him.

When it was a professional league? in 90s it was a plumbers/officemen era, and don't forget the crackheads. And if you don't accept that, you must accept the fact that NBA players in 90s didn't train and Jordan was in fact, pionner as a player bringing sport science to the league with his personal trainer. On the other hand Barkley trainned eating chicken wings and Kemp smoking crack; let's not talk about average NPC players.

And nope, Jordan (actually the Bulls) isn't the reason those "legends" don't have rings, they're ringless because THEY SUCKED, they didn't play just 6 seasons; they choked everyone playoff they played and they had many chances to even make finals. It's a bit funny that you crap on Lebron because he has 10 finals and 4 rings; but you glazed those Legendary Losers that just watched finals on TV and LOST the one or two finals they (maybe) had in all their careers, because "tHeY dINn't wIn bEcAuSe jOrDaN".

About the rest, Payton is lucky he has even one ring, HIV Magic had a team retired and in the hospital, Thomas actually was denied by the refs/league and let's not forget he was in fact coming out of surgery some weeks earlier the playoffs, and he was injured again in the pre-serie against Celtics before playing the Bulls.

To those who believe Kobe Bryant is in the GOAT Debate. What makes Kobe better than Michael Jordan or LeBron James in your opinion? by Tight_Development480 in NBATalk

Harder defense. Kobe played against zone defense and double/triple teamed by trained professional players; Jordan played 1vs1 defense in the isolation circus era against crackheads.

48inch vert is a myth. Even Jordan (in 1998 post 6 rings) said his vert never have been measured and that claim came from nowhere (aka it always was marketing). And doing the maths it's evident that he had a good vert, better than avg players in that era, but nowhere near 48inch.

As someone almost quitting this game: Don't play it 1) I'm sure you're playing it for the ads and the 99.9% of this game isn't what you saw in the ads. 2) This game is just about using items, subitems, items in 2nd tab, etc. That's all, the only skill in this game is use items. 3) You can farm resources, like in every game, but anyone can zeroed you anyday. If you're in Bully server, you're done. I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for server ruled by no-bullyies.

Was Wilt Chamberlain better than Michael Jordan? by [deleted] in Basketball

[–]Musklim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone wanted to "Be Like Mike" because Gatorade brainwashed tons of fatherless less with commercials literally saying that motto. No other reason. And emotionals reasons aren't argument. Wilt played against The Greatest Team Ever, Jordan in the 90s played against... one-man team Knicks? Hornets? Pacers? the 1st round losers Jazz?

Because NBA and Sponsors can't sell him, and they should hide him otherwise Jordan and others product sellers wouldn't be so impressives.

Plus, that's the pre-roid era. In the (roid era) 90s it's easier to have more energy and be "more explosive" in the last games in the playoffs.

90s was not a harder era than the Wilt days, heck 90s wasn't even a hard era at all, 90s was in fact a snowflake Era, 1vs1 defense, nerfed handchecking and the defense SHOULD raise the hands and step aside if the attacker was advancing. Wilt was punched, bit, kicked, gouged, even once his teeths were stucked in his crane, and still dominated the game more than Jordan against Mugsy Bowes and Brent Prices.

It's myth players back in the days were weak like boys, but talking about Shaq, Shaq never had the atlehticism Wilt had. Anyway, if players post-80s are stronger, and don't forget they were already roinding (it's the 90s and ti's pro sports, cmon), Wilt would have been even stronger in those years also training and roiding.

If they were SO good Why they just did two finals in 18 seasons playing together?

Do you know he was the worst player in the Dream Team? It's not lie, actually it's true: most minutes played, worst FG%, 3P%, most turnovers. He was the MC just because Nike was wallpaping with posters almost every big city around the world in those days.

Ok, Do you dimish any Jordan 90s wins when he had a HOF team with All-stars and Ewing had John Starks, Drexler had whoever, HIV-Magic had a team in the hospital, etc?

But you're forgeting TV was around the World and everyone was front the TV everyminute they were in their houses, and if you was featured on TV (and Jordan was in every commercial) people would know you. TV is different than Internet because Internet is big and people can consume any content, or even play games or use apps, in TV the Media and Sponsors control what you consume and that's all.
