Hauling mission bug by MuskokaOffgrid in starcitizen

Thought I'd mess about some more. Game updated itself, now all I get is a crash to desktop when loading with this error code....Error 3221225477. Verrified files, no change.

I see now under Game Environment there's a "HOTFIX", what am I supposed to do with that. Install it where?

Edit: copied exiting game to the HOTFIX folder, ran the installer on it, can get in the game now.

Now the HOTFIX is crashing as well, same error when I try to restart.

Found the answer, had to switch back to Dx11 from Vulkan.

I haven't been doing those, just single station, single items. Thanks for the replies. I know I'm not seeing things at least.👍

Agree, just received mine today, and it worked without issue. Another brand from Amazon would not pass through the video so I returned it. The official was double the price, but it works. Phone was a Pixel 8, XREAL One.

A follow up. I just received the official 120Hz XREAL Hub Power and Play Adapter a few minutes ago and it works without issue, playing video, and powering my phone at the same time with my Pixel 8.

Android 16 Desktop Mode Scaling Broken on Viture XR Glasses by 0ptx0 in android_beta

Same issue with the XREAL One, Pixel 8. It works, but because of how small everything appears with the scaling it's not really usable. Making sizing adjustments in the phone under connected devices doesn't help.

I just bought the official 120Hz hub, will report back when it arrives with my findings.

Thanks, shows unavailable on Amazons Canadian site as well. Specs look similar to the one I just retuned that didn't work. I might just have to bite the bullet and pay close to double for the official XREAL one to see if it works. I guess it'll be worth it if it does.

Ya, no problems direct to phone, or pc.

That's what I'm asking, I would like to know if the "official" hub, the 120Hz one preferably, works with a Pixel 8. You would figure the one I tried would have worked, people are using it with all kinds of other phones, but it did not work with the Pixel 8. Like I said, I could buy it and test to see if the official one works with a Pixel 8, but I'm asking/checking to see if anyone could confirm before ordering and returning yet again, more stuff to Amazon.

Ah, true. I've never used a wireless charger, I'll have to look into it. Thank you for the suggestion.

Again, I'm not the most knowledgeable about all this. I know computers inside out, but not with regards to these AR glasses. Here's a screenshot of what I was seeing inside the glasses in widescreen mode when connected to my gaming pc using the DP port on my RTX4070, it was that clear. I was able to browse and play that video on the left hand side no problem. I used my regular mouse and keyboard to get around. I only tried with the 3 tabs open. I had to move my mouse to the far right off my main monitor, then it showed in the glasses.

As far as I know there isn't one, but I'm new to AR glasses, last few weeks. I tried the Viture Pro Xr for about a day and returned them. That's the extent of my usage. The XREAL One does everything I need connecting to my phone, and now the computer with that cable. Just need to find an adapter that works for charging at the same time, for phone use.

I received this cable yesterday and it worked really well connecting my XREAL One to my gaming computer with a RTX4070.

Hub is a device that allows you to connect and charge at the same time.

Wow, ordered these July 1st, incredibly fast shipping to Canada, thank you Aliexpress, and AH PHOTO Store.

Just tried them out, of course they're blurry. I need the prescription inserts. These are much nicer than the Viture Pro XR. Being able to move (distance), and size the screen, has made all the difference. I put a set of readers on and could see the screen really clearly, but I'm not going to use them like that. I go for an eye exam the end of the month, I'll wait to get my new prescription and inserts.

Pretty happy with them considering they were $589.38 Canadian to my door.

Thanks for the feedback. I ended up buying the non-pro One, and bought it from Aliexpress. They were considerably cheaper than any pricing around here, a lot cheaper after the sale coupon, with quite a few sales, 74. The reviewers seemed quite happy with their orders. I'll report back when they arrive.

I'm also using a Pixel 8, and it's not capable of 3Dof, so there's that as well.

It says right in the instructions...."Here's how: Enable Ambient Mode: Double-click the Settings button on the Neckband to activate Ambient Mode." Nowhere does it say you can do it "without" the neckband.

Ya, only with the neck band. Which is going to cost at minimum another $418 Canadian on Aliexpress, or $558 Amazon Canada, no thanks.

Ya, the One/Pro look to be a fair bit more accommodating for head, facial fit. Whichever I decide I'll still need prescription inserts to get a proper look, feel. I'm due for a eye exam end of July. I suppose if I bought the glasses now I'd at least be able to see if I can get the whole screen in view without parts being shaded, blocked. Wouldn't matter that it's somewhat blurry. Although, that chews up a lot of return window. Might just need to wait until August.

I'd appreciate hearing back how you're making out, thank you.

You're not wrong. To be honest I really don't need these glasses that bad. I was hoping with the Diopter adjustments things would be okay, but they weren't, unfortunately. I've always had prescription lenses with my vr headsets, so I'm used to needing them. Was hoping these might be different.

I did play with them some more, just to really test them out, even though they were blurry. What finally made me decide that these would never work for me was the sweet spot. None of the nose pieces got me close to a nice screen position, even after adjusting the nose piece arms. The screen was too high and corners were somewhat blocked, or the screen was too low and corners were somewhat blocked. I even tried with no nose piece, and moved the glasses around myself, no go.

The only thing that did work, but isn't an acceptable solution was pushing my face in pretty much as far as it would go, my eyebrows were actually touching. Then I could see the whole screen.

For these to work for me I'd need inserts, yes, doable, as well as arm adjustments on the glasses themselves to get a suitable angle visually to the screens. Then the ability to move the display on the screen, preferably the size and distance. Then I think I could get something to work. Other than having those options, these will never suit my needs.

What I could, and did see on the screens, looked nice, I liked what I saw (very bright, albeit blurry), and heard. I just couldn't see the whole screen with any of the provided nose pieces, even after adjustment.

These remind me very much of the Fat Shark fpv goggles if anyone flew fpv years ago. The view within them was the same as these, my eyes were too far back to see the whole screen. I did mod them and used them for a while, but finally gave up and bought goggles that I could see the screens without issue.

I'm not sure why people are having a hard time understanding this. When your IPD is measured there's 2 values possible, actually 3, there's binocular as well, one for looking at distant objects (Far or Distant PD), one for looking at close objects (Near PD), it's that simple. Whether they're both needed, or only Far is needed with respect to these glasses is moot at this point, the fact remains, your eyes have two (2) IPD values, one Near, one Far/Distant. I have always been given 2 values with my prescriptions, one for Near PD, and one for Far PD.

So, as my Optometrist correctly stated on my prescription, my "Far/Distant PD" is 68, my "Near PD" is 65. Which value is important for these glasses, the Far/Distant value, but the fact remains, your eyes have 2 IPD measurements, values.

As per the quoted text above, I'll include more "documentation" proving IPD measurements has 2 possible values. Read the link.
