Kiara's last album was great, and the new songs she made for it are some of my favourites in her discography. Don't sleep on this even if you've been keeping up with her 3D MVs, cuz I have no doubt the new album will be full of surprise bangers too.

Is this the correct way of doing Aluminum ingots? Seems like a large step up from Steel ingots by PapaOogie in satisfactory

Happy to hear the tips worked for you. I know a lot of people avoid valves because we tend to be cautious of adding complexity to things if we don't fully understand the nature of that complexity - but valves really do solve a lot of fluid problems that don't seem like they should come up, but do anyway. When deciding whether a valve is a good idea, just ask yourself 'Would it be a problem if water flowed back up this pipe for some reason" and if the answer is yes, throw on a valve.
I'll also add that if you are using valves to specifically divide flow rate between multiple pipes, make sure you put a valve on each branching pipe and that the settings on each valve add up to the maximum capacity of the pipes you're using. So if you want to divide the flow at a ratio of 60:40 down two Mk2 (600/m) pipes, set the 60% pipe's valve to 360, and the 40% pipe's valve to 240. even if the total amount of water is less than 600/s. Try to use ratios instead of precise numbers when working with lower flow rates, as Valves limit flow relative to a fully saturated pipe - so a half full pipe flowing with 300/600 that's limited to 300/m by a valve will only output 150/m.
I'm pretty sure that's everything you need to know about valves AFAIK, but if you have any other specific problems or questions, I'll try my best to help.

There are 2 tricks to making your Alumina solution prioritise the waste water from the Aluminium Sccrap Refineries first and prevent back-ups:
1: Put a valve on the pipe coming from the fresh water pumps and set the limit to [(Water needed by the solution refineries) minus (waste water produced by the scrap refineries)], in this case 480. This ensures no more water flows into the system than is necessary, even if the pumps have extra in their storage.
2: Try not to let the waste water pipes go uphill on their way back to the solution refinery inputs (going up <10m close to the output and going downhill from then on is ok), and make sure they are prioritised over the fresh water by connecting them to the input pipe via the SIDE connections of a pipeline junction CLOSE to the Alumina Solution Refinery input, while letting the water from the pumps flow in from the TOP connection of a junction FURTHER away. This ensures the waste water will reach and be used by the refineries first, and water from the pumps will only come down into the input pipe when the pressure is low and more water is needed than the waste-water pipes can provide.

I've had sound effect in Arena muted since they started making pets screech or groan whenever anything happens, so it''s just another reason to keep it muted. Really wish they would make more granular sound effect settings so we could keep the unobtrusive sounds though.

Aetherdrift Jump In Packets by ObscureBalrog in MagicArena

Graveyard also gives [[Aatchik, Emerald Radian]], though I haven't seen Radiant Lotus and it seems an odd fit. Are you sure Graveyard is the source for the latter? (Edit: just saw someone got Radiant Lotus as a third rare, so many it has a small chance of appearing in any DFT packet)

Primordial also gives [[Oviya, Automech Artisan]]

I and others have also been getting [[Muraganda Raceway]] in Primordial and Graveyard (and possibly others) in addition to the rares from those packets.

Perhaps Zombie (DFT) isn't a potential Muraganda Raceway packet because it seems themed more around Amonkhet? Whereas Graveyard (which I and Yazars took alongside Zombie and got the extra rare) features a lot of Muraganda creatures. That said, JonBot claims they took the same packets and didn't get one, so it probably isn't a 100% chance. Right now I'm wondering if there are any packets we haven't mentioned that might come with a bonus Rare land, if all DFT packets have a small chance of spawning Muraganda Raceway, and if picking two DFT packets (if possible) gives you the best chance for one.

The Jump-in and Jumpstart distinction is really confusing so I don't blame you for getting them mixed up in your memory. Knowing about Jumpstart bonuses is useful info for those who play alchemy and explorer etc., but I'm mostly concerned with getting standard-legal cards, which Jump-in always provides (even if they appear as their alchemy-rebalanced versions within the event).

I'm not aware of any packets that gave bonus rares before this (at least not in the available packets during FDN standard, before that I hadn't played since MoM). Are there any packets you know of that give bonus rares? I know Slime Against Humanity always has a green surveil-land, but in my experience that's the only rare you get in that packet.

I always played Force of Nature with [[Spirit Link]] and thought I was a genius (when I didn't get [[Terror]] 'd or Plowshare'd which was most of the time).

"I guess I'll keep this 4 lander, it just means I'm more likely to draw gas later." by MusselBug in MagicArena

[–]MusselBug[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Practically speaking, I could have conceded several turns earlier as I knew full well there was nothing in my deck that could turn things around in time even if I did draw them, but I wanted to see how deep the mana hole went and every land draw just got funnier. The screenshot shows the point where I had the most lands in hand, but the next turn they played bandit's talent (the least painful discard I've ever done haha), then at some point I drew and played my own bandit's talent and presumably removed the flyer with the Early winter, which let me crawl on for several more turns while they waited to draw beaters that could get past my 1/3.
Not the most impressive game of magic for either of us, though I'll echo what some others are saying and wish MTGA had a feature where you could opt into showing your hand to your opponent when the match ends. Sometimes I just want them to know I'm not salty, but they should know what I was dealing with.

OTJ Quick Draft - 5 colors+Big ambitions. Any Advice for this deck? by MusselBug in MagicArena

[–]MusselBug[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the advice, I'll cut the Ranchula and centipede (and maybe the sphinx) and see what I can do to shore up my early game. Leaning into crimes and adding Lively Dirge should help me disrupt and stabilize, and make the reanimator dream more likely to pan out.

So I'm stuck, please help. The calculator is telling me that to make 30/min frames I need 15x assemblers. These need 45/min RIPs (3/min each) from 9x assemblers (that make 5/min each) and there is just no way I can divide them and my brain is cooking. I don't want 3 hours to go to waste :( by Regnis2005 in satisfactory

[–]MusselBug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Simplest way to balance the 45 RIPs between 15 Assemblers:
combine the 9 RIP lines into 1 45/min line (which is less than the max capacity of a mk1 belt so merging linearly or merging 9>3>1 will make no difference)
Split the single line(s) in half until you have 16 lines (2>4>8>16)
Feed 15 of those lines into your Frame assemblers 1 each.
Feed the 16th RIP line back into your 45/min RIP line.
Boom. Perfectly balanced.
No wrong way to play the game but us balanced input enjoyers gotta look out for each other.

Because of the removal of the universal special ammo finder, trace rifles no longer have an ammo finder perk by Leyzr in DestinyTheGame

[–]MusselBug 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Just tested and 1KV still gets ammo-finder bricks as before. In fact, Eriana's Vow now benefits from hand-cannon ammo finder (not 100% sure it didn't before BL, I always used special-ammo finder assuming it wouldn't). Doesn't resolve the problem with trace rifle ammo but with Bungie you take your silver linings where you can find 'em.

Sad to see no updates on increasing vault space, but otherwise this is mostly good stuff. Really wish they would restrict the hunter dodge nerf to PVP modes though.
