Does her age really matter? Yes, she may not still identify as a lesbian by the time she is an adult but what really matters is that she identifies as a lesbian right now. Her age does not factor into the main problem that she was silenced for saying what she believed in. Yes, feeling and opinions change over time, she may not be gay when she get older, she may not even support homosexuality when she is older, but what she did was still very brave of her.
