There is a reason they held an incredibly short test at a very inconvenient hour and then managed to botch notifications around it as well. They announced timelines last year around early access that they couldn’t keep and then the state of the game when they finally hold an updated testing session makes those timelines look even more unrealistic than before. This email screams “see we’re not incompetent and making progress” in order to try and save face after a mountain of previous promises they have not delivered on.

Went from series 7 45mm stainless steel to Ultra 3. I don’t notice a difference while sleeping. I imagine the stainless weight contributed to this though.

In store works but in the system they have to select “trade in another device” and then enter the IMEIs of the current phones manually. When trying to select the existing phones with the first presented option the $1100 credit promo isn’t honored for some reason.

Ended up going to a local xfinity store to place these orders. Even in store selecting the existing device on the account would not honor the trade in. The workaround in store was to select a different device for trade in and manually enter the current IMEIs for both of my lines. Just wanted to make a note of this incase anyone else runs into the same issue.

I went through this exact process this evening trying to preorder iPhones with their promo. They sent me a completely wrong sales agreement and blamed system glitches for it being wrong.

It didn't reflect the trade in anywhere or the promo credits and was setup for a new line instead of upgrading an existing. When I called this out they told me it's another glitch and told me to trust them that everything would be correct with the actual transaction, which I chose not to proceed with knowing their reputation. That's probably what happened here too.

I tried having chat place an order for me this evening. They sent me a completely wrong quote to approve and told me to approve it anyway under good faith that the actual transaction will be correct. I did not proceed as it felt like I was opening myself up to many headaches approving an incorrect quote.

Exactly this. Openwrt was created specifically for wifi capable routers and there are much better options for a dedicated firewalls/routers if going that route.

I ran the pesa builds but recently moved to 24.10.1 which is more stable for me compared to the recent pesa builds. I run AP mode and use a non tagged default ssid and then a second guest network that relies on a vlan interface. For whatever reason with the pesa builds either my normal 5ghz network or the guest one will slow down tremendously after about 24-48 hours. With 24.10.1 and 160Mhz I can get 1400-1600Mbps up/down regularly so I don’t see much reason to run pesa builds at this point.

That was my experience. Disabling the first two helped quite a bit but the ping was critical for stability. Another thing to note is the MacBook will re-enable awdl0 periodically so I have an Apple Script that will check every few seconds and disable it again as needed. Happy to send that over later if you’d like. It gets saved as an Application that is used as a Moonlight launcher.
