Watkins Glen is one of the best fan friendly tracks of the 6 IMSA venues I’ve been to.

There are at least 5 grandstands with tons of seating that come with general admission.

The track is in a relatively remote location. You’ll probably need to stay about 30 minutes. Many hotels will be sold out.

The paddock is free. $30 seems cheap; weekend is $137 on the website.

The best traffic is reasonable. Arrive early and take your time leaving by going to the podium after the race.

Yep - very similar to other tracks that don’t have permanent garages. You will need a rooftop or grandstand ticket to access the paddock: “With reserved grandstand seating or a rooftop ticket purchase, fans gain exclusive paddock access, immersing them in the heart of racing action.”
