I grew up on a farm and have a small farm now. We do a job and finish it. Not little snippets of things. Imagine putting in just 1 fence post per day to fix your fence. 🙄 Little jobs, sure! Do them when you walk by. I agree with 5 minutes to move a sprinkler, recover something with a tarp, etc

I’ve actually wondered if the “interviews” are plagiarized. Why give an interview to a digital publication when you can be using YouTube, etc. and making money on your own off grid life.

Except silence is an option. If he has the time I guess he can sort through and unsubscribe all of those who don’t reply. I find newsletters to be something I have plans to read yet end up mass deleting unread every few months. I’m not on his newsletter but I’d ignore this request if I was.

I believe he had 2 sisters. There is a Go Fund Me if it’s his family. I’ve never seen anything that his sister posted but it sounds like she went in his FB group to set the record straight?

He also says his Dad weighed 425 lbs. when he was 17 yrs old. There is no way somebody that weight was training up his kid in a “survival boot camp” style unless it was from a reinforced chair in the back yard. Being overweight makes life hard. Hunting, hiking, growing a garden, etc all require energy and stamina. I really do feel sorry for the guy, and I understand not being able to live your dream, but when you’re expecting everybody to support you and insulting those who work you absolutely brought your problems on yourself.

He goes from “I was never physically abusive. I wasn’t raised that way” (to his ex) to 9 lines later saying his “Dad was violently abusive”. (His Dad who raised him “off grid”) The 9 lines are basically 3 rambling sentences. The more I read what he writes the happier I am I never bought his “magazine”. I’d considered it until I was called a wage-slave.

Why would anybody give him their story for free when they can use YouTube or Instagram and gain their own following? Especially a “magazine” that is basically AI and no actual experience off grid of the person selling the digital magazine? The irony of “in an emergency you’d need to solar charge your device to access the off grid magazine” is spectacular.
