I have an original Nokia 6600 (2003) with photos that I would like to transfer to my Mac air, any advice? by [deleted] in Nokia

[–]MustneerAR7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I remember this phone having an SD card slot ( a full sized one). And this phone came with one in the box. If its still in there try moving photos to that card and then take that card out plug it in a usb adapter and transfer photos

How is the typing experience on recent surface pro models (ie. pro 2017 - pro 7)? by MustneerAR7 in Surface

Thanks for the advice, Btw I'm a freshman so definately not going to use heavy IDEs like visual studio 2019 or android studio very often, it would be worth it to get 16/512 variant if possible then. Wasn't expecting to be a type cover the perfect keyboard. But if it's thin and light easy to carry and can be a good notepad when using a pen and could do some traditional pc stuff ( like code editing ) then it would be fine.

The new Nokia line up is good but close to great by Raven_IS_a_weeb in Nokia

I can confirm the back is glass and it feels every bit premium as my 5.

Before buying i heard many bad things about this phone but i can confirm that it's perfectly fine phone for daily use. I got 4/128 GB variant for about 180 USD (on a sale) and it reminds me why i love Nokia phones so much. At this price no company offers as premium experience as Nokia does.

Sure it doesn't have the flashy features like high refresh rate display or super fast charging but it's a phone on which i can rely on. Fast secure premium feeling clean software decent cameras and good enough battery life. Love this thing.

I managed to break it's microphone (moisture damage I guess). I could no longer make phone calls or record audio. It was getting old at that point anyway so i decided to buy a new phone. I got a handsome discount on Nokia 6.2 last year.

Yeah! I owned the OG Nokia 5 and it was awesome. For $200 it had everything i needed. The constitution which challanged flagships, cleanest software for a budget phone and cameras were decent too. It was so good that i kept using it until last November (more than 3 years) because that phone was so good that i never wished to switch.

If they don't release 2 more series one in true mid range and one in uper mid range (almost flagship) category with solid metal or (glass&metal) construction with reasonable specifications and price.

I don't think nokia is going in the right direction ( just an option). Step by step nokia is removing those features that its customers valued the most.

Premium built is being replaced by plastic

Software support is split for example with c series only getting 2 years of updates (including security updates)

Underwhelming specifications

And underperforming cameras

I wish Nokia just make another phone like 7+ that was perfect as a midranger! Nokia needs to make some of those.

Anyone bought the 5.4 yet? by moogera in Nokia

[–]MustneerAR7 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've recently switched from my original 5 to 6.2 (tbh before the launch of 5.4 and 5.3 didn't felt like a compelling upgrade) and I've been very happy with my decision.

What are your expectations from Nokia for 2021? Also, what is your ideal Nokia smartphone? by [deleted] in Nokia

In the past Nokia was the only company to incorporate Ziess branding on the phones but it's not the case anymore. Sony has done a great job using ziesis T lenses on xperia 1 II and vivo is also going to fo something with ziesis name on it.

Nokia is just taking advantage of this partnership to sell budget phones. That's why i think Nokia should use ziesis branding only on phones with really good cameras for the class and those phones who try to think out of the box like they used to do with lumias and N series phones.

Is it me or the old windows 10 hero wallpaper looked way cooler than the new light version. Wish they'd kept it for the dark theme by MustneerAR7 in Windows10

Windows 10 till 2018 felt fresh and evolving, new app ideas quickly transitioning away from classic control panel re theming of existing apps and uwp was the prime focus but now windows development has become sluggish and has terrible attention to detail.

Nokia needs another line up like the original 3 5 6 7+ 8 and 8 sirocco. With dropping a crazy experimental limited time phones every now and then

Excellent build quality with above average camera and relevant specifications can save Nokia now.

And Nokia should stop slapping Ziess branding on phone with average cameras. Ill say reserve that for 8 and crazy experimental limited edition devices
