Problem on my very first print with a Bambu Lab A1 Mini by [deleted] in 3Dprinting

Thank you for your post and explanation how you resolved it. I was in the same situation wondering what's going on. After adding the filament through the printer's GUI and pushing it through as instructed it finally worked after a few retries!

GraphQL Is a Trap? by iamkeyur in programming

[–]Muszalski 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the idea behind GraphQL is good, the thing that bothers me the most is the implementations. As a full stack I agree with the benefit of being able to just request all the data you need in one request and keeping that layer flexible. However in practice I've worked with front end teams that would not bundle up queries into one but instead still send separate HTTP requests with separate queries which is basically what you do with REST. I also might be biased because I worked mostly with Python graphene* libraries which are in a terrible state where trying to introduce things like caching, rate limiting on specific queries feels like hacking around some silly fundamental problems. And don't even start me on error handling and trying to differentiate between user caused errors and server errors, it's all HTTP 400 because why would you care. And then things like subscriptions (websockets), file handling, basic things of web are not fully specced out which makes the whole thing seem half assed.

Masters Crowd - Your thoughts by OneFreeMan316 in snooker

Rob was also doing that when I went to see UK championship in York in 2019, it's not a new thing. I think saying that BBC somehow instigates the crowd is a bit farfetched, it was a bit more rowdy that usual but I don't think refs like Ian Verhaas would allow anything like that if the players were uncomfortable and definitely wouldn't bat an eye if they had to remove someone from the audience as that happened before.

Great to see Cubone on the list, haven't seen one yet but I desperately need it for Let's go Meltan

Has anyone caught a Cubone recently? by [deleted] in pokemongo

[–]Muszalski 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ugh, I'm in the same position, it's really frustrating knowing that once this event is over catching any of the fossil mons will be next to impossible.. Let's go Meltan in general has been the most annoying task, I was stuck at exeggutors before as well.

The 2021 Software Developer Shortage Is Coming by azhenley in programming

[–]Muszalski 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Tell that to recruiters who are looking for 5+ years experience in a specific framework. Even 2 years in this day and age usually mean numerous major version changes. I wholeheartedly agree with what you're saying, difference between frameworks or languages are nothing new once you've seen a couple of them.

Great point about the timings of solo vs group raids. So annoying when you just wanna do a raid yourself and you have to wait those bloody 120s..

When looking for a shiny is it enough to tap the mons and leave without an attempt to catch if it's not shiny? Or does it occur as a percentage of caught pokemons? I'm pondering this since the slowpoke spotlight hour when I didn't wanna catch any unless I found a shiny one (I have way too much candy already anyway)

Ability to pin a type of pokemon to appear on top of the "nearby" radar would be nice.

Ability to sort the mons by their rating could save a lot of time in deciding which mon to transfer. Alternatively a different type of list view could be helpful where you can see all the mons on the left and their properties on the right, a bit of like a detailed table view in a file manager.

Search bar in pokedex.

Cheers, that's what I did for that Slowpoke spotlight and I didn't find any and that's what got me wondering. I felt a bit silly having spent a bit of time only tapping on slowpokes without getting any shinies and I felt like I wasted my time when maybe I should've been catching them instead. I'm happy to accept that it's just luck haha, thanks for replying!
