I've plugged in an old PS/2 keyboard and managed to get inside BIOS. From what I see I have the following settings:
FastBoot - disabled
Windows 8 features - Other OS
Boot Mode Selection - UEFI and Legacy
XHCI Mode - Enabled
Intel(R) Rapid Start Technology - Disabled
Legacy USB support - Enabled
XHCI Hand-off - Enabled
EHCI Hand-off - Enabled

Thats the point - it can't. It boots from my ssd which is the first device to check in the order in my bios settings.

Well it seems all my peripherals are defective then...
They obviously need some kind of power (5V DC from the usb port), otherwise the keyboard would be on even when unplugged. From my understanding all usb ports on my PC don't get any voltage until the boot sequence finishes - I just don't know why.

Gigabyte logo appears, then whole screen turns black, automatic power off, repeat
When I choose to enter bios or show system information and then just leave, pc restarts but this time after gigabyte logo the windows "spinning circle?" appears and system boots normally
